Shield Oath Broken/Bugged?

Hi guys, Yesterday I was doing a couple of Titan runs. I had shield oath on but for some reason the game wasn't registering that i had it on or something weird like that. he was hitting me for 3.5K+ , I would understand if it was like that on my warrior but not paladin usually with no buffs it would be around 2.3-2.5 but yesterday it was different. any one else notice it or was it broken for me only?

3.5k isn't "unusual"

its entirely likely you had no stoneskin, no adloquium, no CD's up, no sacred soil, etc. 3500 is a normal number without extra mitigation.

yeah the fights were a bit hectic probably that's it, guess healers spoiled me before with eye for an eye and virus before. It's just that yesterday was the first time I see those numbers. and I'm usually the one who forgets to put shield oath on that it became sort of a running gag with my FC. Went to halfway at phase 5 with it off once, till the healer asked why i'm getting hit hard lol >.<

Yeap 3,500 is what a normal Shield Oath DMG a Paladin would take. Down to around 2,700 if you manage to Block 2,850 if you Parry. And about 1,900 if you use Sentinel and manage to block/parry. Or around 900 if you are confidently stupid to pop Sentinel, Foresight And Bulwark. On the other side of the tanking planet, Warriors are taking it in for 4,300 damage unmitigated and 3,400 if he parries. About 3,200 if he uses Foresight and manages to Parry...

Tough life isn't it being a warrior when all your RnGs align is only a little better than what A Pally could have toggled and shield unequipped =P
