Proceedure to Re Install the game

I had to to a system rebuild and am having to re install all programs. I have the Disk of FFXIV from the regular edition which i bought recently. Can I re install from that using the Code on the disk? will that be enough to get my game re installed and updated?

thanks for advice on this. Didn't want to mess up my service account by doing it the wrong way. I initially installed from the online source so wanted to ask here about re install.

Yes you can install from the disc (it'll have quite a few updates to do though!), but you shouldn't need your code at all.

When it asks if you have an SE account or not, just say yes and give it the login details of your existing account. It should then check that, see there's an active subscription and carry on without asking you for anything else.

Unfortunately your hotbar settings were stored in My Documents\My games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn so if you haven't backed that folder up before your reinstall, you'll need to redo all the hotbars.

ah thank you very much sir that was very kind. I did have My Docs saved i didnt want to lose my settings and my screen shots so that will be ok, just have to reinstall all of the exe's. thanks again, that is a big relief, my computer is still at my tech's shop but as soon as i get it home i will be installing FF first thank you
