for easy content you should use LB as much as possible whenever its up, you fill up the bar pretty fast later on anyway.

for hard contents like primal HM there are specific points where an LB are saved for ie: kill nails, adds, heart..etc

Oh so much this. So many groups will save it so that it kills the boss (and almost always is overkill, wasting a chunk of the damage). Some groups will actually save it for the entire dungeon until they get to the last boss, when they could just use it on every single boss and still have a full bar for the end.
