My ISP is screwing up, causing the "Suspicious Activity" Alarm

I have no idea what the heck my ISP, Starhub, Singapore is doing. For some strange reason they seem to be switch me between different IP addresses, causing the Suspicious Activity" Alarm to trigger, causing a password reset.

Last week I was given a Hong Kong IP, detected by Speedtest. Tonight, It is a Singapore IP address but under a different client.

It happens once per week it seems. What can I do? I did call them up, they claim nothing is wrong.

Most ISPs assign dynamic IPs to end users that expire after 24 hours if you do something that'll reset your network connection. (power down/restart of PC, restart of modem) The best thing you can do is get the authenticator, whether its the physical one or the smartphone app, and attach it to your account. Once you do this you don't have to go through the trouble of resetting your password whenever your IP address changes.

TWC used to run the old lease renewal on what seemed like a 24 hour window years ago. Thankfully, they eventually moved to 30 days. The work around I had back then was to use a router and left it and their modem up 24/7 (I needed to be able to remote in from work and stuff, and having the IP change daily was a problem). Mileage may vary depending on your ISP's policies, but if you keep a persistent connection going with a router, it should at least give you the full lease time and then when it renews you likely will get the same IP issued. Barring some troubleshooting where they swapped out hardware and tweaked my routing a few years back, I've kept the same IP for years now.

I'm not using a VPN.... Unless you are telling my my ISP uses VPN, then...
