    Untradeable Craft Drops Please

    I would like to see untradeable craft drops off raid bosses.

    I see the silly rares for sale off primals, but would like for drops to be tradeskill specific... with only people with level appropriate TSs able to roll need- anyone could roll greed.

    I would like to see these used in recipes that produced an untradeable product that had distinctive looks/stats for the creator.

    There are a LOT of crafting classes... and it makes sense that you should reward people for leveling those.. and it makes sense that a particular type of crafter would create unique things for himself that others would not have.

    Maybe these are vanity items that will be used for vanity slots... that's fine. It just seems to me that there really needs to be some kind of personal-only benefit to having a crafting class at max level.

    It is also an incentive to level those craft skills... beyond just jumping into saturated markets..

    Someone said there were to be dailies in 2.1 and I hope the Guild master at the Trade guilds are offering them as well at some point. A level 50 Levequest for all intent and purpose.

    What about crafters that want to stick with just crafting rather than raiding?

    Raiding should be for battle equipment in my opinion. I really don't see why crafters should feel forced to do raids.

    Raid untradeable crafting materials should be used to craft raid level combat gear.

    The problem with people who want to craft but NOT do other stuff is with the way the game is designed : you cannot repeat quests. There should be quested, untradeable materials from quests you can repeat if you so desire, that would allow you to produce either tradable vanity items, or untradeable vanity items.

    Vanity items should not be locked behind raids. Raid level crafted items should be locked behind raids, through having their materials be untradeable and dropping from raids.

    I think this is unlikely to happen as suggested.

    If it's not BiS, you'll have complaints about it being a waste of time, and if it is BiS, you'll have complaints about being FORCED to tradeskill in order to not get gouged by the "greedy" tradeskillers.

    A better twist, I think, is introducing token drops used for both turn ins or as crafting components for an equivalent but not identical end product. However, they would still need to compensate for HQ and materia customization or remove those options on the gear. Also, the stats on the crafted version could be capped secondary stats and low main stats, finally giving those INT/MND/STR/DEX materia more use.

    Even if they were identical, if the turn-in version was one class and the crafted version was all related classes affected by the bonuses, it would help make the crafted version appealing without being required.

    But a lot of this would work better IMO if players could actually commission gear from tradeskillers.
