The ugly Darklight wouldn't have been a problem if we had choice.
So please in future give us a choice of normal 2-piece that is realistic and equivalent in potency.
Example 1 - Unrealistic "choice":
Darklight iLv70 purchased with philosophy tome - 1-piece head+chest
New Darklight iLv70 chest drop in Binding Coils Turn 2, head drop in Turn 1
This is not a realistic choice because we wanted the iLv70 gear to prepare for Binding Coils in the first place.
Example 2 - Realistic "choice":
Darklight iLv70 purchased with philosophy tome - 1-piece head+chest
New Darksteel iLv70 crafted with philosophy tome materials - separate head and chest pieces, costs the same as the Darklight in terms of mats
This is a realistic choice as we can get it by doing the same things we do to get the Darklight.

― Ernest Hemingway
I actually despise this type of armor, if there were to have another type of this, im so going to go to JP forum, and rally the other JPs to ask you guys to remove it completely from the game. :P
I have to add my voice here to the general din. As a Paladin, I find it sad that the BEST gear is the WORST looking. Ok. No plans to change it? Fine, but from this point forward PLEASE stop using that model. If you could go one further and replace it with a re-dyed version of another existing armor I would personally be thrilled!
In the future please realize that people LIKE to show their faces, and this stuff is just plain CREEPY looking to boot.
It's 8x easier to edit an art asset and export it a few times than it is to create one. Heck, i can make a yt video doing that in a few mins... and you wonder why we're getting extreme and probably hard extreme and extreme extreme extreme ifrit/titan/garuda before we actually see a normal Leviathan/Ramuh/Anything relevant.I'll be happy if no new "tin can" armor is added to the game.
I hate all the tin can armors as much as the next guy, but its ridiculous to want them to redo art assets to separate the head and body piece instead of just working on new armors to be added in upcoming updates.
Why do we have /visor again? It works with barely anything but supposedly warranted time to implement it.
It's bad enough that hair showing with a Celata on has never been fixed since it broke in 1.0.
ARR is because they listened to the community - if they listened any more than they needed to ARR would crash and burn instantly because 99% of the time players don't know what the game needs, only what they want and it isn't always the same as what someone else wants.
Works on a certain stuff that's actually a visor and not part of another model - it even works on additional stuff like Miner's helm.
/visor works on Halloween pumpkin heads, AF and Myth helms, mining helm, and I forget what else.
ARR was based on a poll. I'll also point out that part of those were also disregarded.
Which doesn't change the fact its "barely anything" yet somehow got implemented. Meanwhile everyone I've met that wants to get out of the tin can or cowls is SOL. They already have the feature there but aren't using it either through /visor or head gear toggle. ARR in general has been an axe to all the polish it used to have.
