I guess they are not concerned with it anymore as they are looking to vanity slots. But you sure do make plans for Lightning FATEs, emotes while laying in a bed, consider pajama gear long enough to give a yes or no answer, vanity slots, need I go on? But going back and redoing(more like doing, since there wasn't much effort in the first place) Darklight gear? Nah, ain't got time for that noise.
So I guess there's no point in asking if you'll redo Bard AF leg gear for males, because my male character looks like a cross dresser in the current BRD AF gear, which was obviously designed for a female.

I am sorry to hear this, as the costs are unfair to the tank classes, and it does look bad. I would hope that we could get at least a half-baked modification to an already existing armor set of another verity, it would most definitely look better.
Am I the only one that likes the full suit of armor?
I kinda...like darklight.

I like it too :3
C'est Vie ou Mort!

The biggest problem with darklight (in terms of aesthetics) is the fact that the head doesn't turn. As a result, when you are fighting, your character is always looking away from the enemy, when you're riding on some mounts, your character is looking straight at the ground. It breaks immersion.
In terms of practicalities, when you upgrade from DL you are forced to downgrade half of it. While other people may upgrade from iLv70 head+iLV70 chest to iLv90 head+iLv70 chest, you have to upgrade from iLv70 head+cheat to iLv90 head+iLv60 chest.
So the two problem (one aesthetic one practical) combine to make the darklight hoods/tin cans the target for player hate.
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”
― Ernest Hemingway

Actually, some types of old knight armor in the REAL WORLD didn't allow for head turning, such as jousting armor. The biggest problem with darklight (in terms of aesthetics) is the fact that the head doesn't turn. As a result, when you are fighting, your character is always looking away from the enemy, when you're riding on some mounts, your character is looking straight at the ground. It breaks immersion.
Of course, this was mainly because your focus target was always in front of you and it would prevent your neck from breaking when you fell off your horse. For hand-to-hand combat it wasn't practical...but still, it's technically "immersive."

Not enough of this in the thread:
I saw one guy post the link to the redit article hosting the images, figured i'd post the pics for those that didn't see...

1 - Yes, it's pretty blah1. They did very little to differentiate it from the armor you get while leveling up; "just strap on two blades to the back of the head and were good right?"
2. It looks bad, really bad. They took the worse looking armor in the game and somehow made it look even worse! (Not that hard though to be honest.)
3. It costs too dam much because they are sold in chest/head combo and leg/feet combo. Its a lot easier to buy a piece at 495 than to have to wait till you get 1320.
2 - Um ... yes, it's pretty blah
3 - No, why, it's the same cost overall as any other head+body pair, a little patience will get you there just the same, you'll survive without it for a few extra runs.
In conclusion, yes, god change the appearance, it's painful to stare at for ages til you get myth or allagan body. Don't split it based on looks or cost, making it a single piece is fine, as are its costs.

Long as they implement the /hood for cowls in the future, don't care that current ones don't right now if it means future ones can.

While we're on this subject, there's one thing I am compelled to bring up: Why is there a lack of capes?
The fabric physics are there. Just look at how Vanya robes flow in the wind and while you're running or walking in one. Odin is clearly wearing a cape while you're fighting him but when you actually wear Odin's armor, the cape is nowhere to be found? Why did they decide to omit the cape from the armor?

And sadly, it looks like the yellow cape on the Warrior of Light armor was also omitted... What gives?
