Tomes of Philosophy and Mythology

Hello,

I would like to address a suggestion regarding Tomes of Mythology and Philosophy gear.

I would suggest that we are able to return the gear after we accidentally buy the wrong tomes items.

For example.
Many people will have an error buying the wrong gear especially from the DoM list.

Darklight XXXX of Casting
Darklight XXXX of Healing

they are side by side with each other and very similar.
its either separate the two kinds of gear we need to be able to exchange or return the gear.

It should not be automatically spiritbonded to you when you buy it.

I know that grinding Tomes of Mythology and Philosophy is not hard but it takes time. Not all people has time to do that.

It just adversely affect the fun of the game for some players.

Please take this suggestion in consideration.

You sound like a very constructive person, you really deserve an award.

/ontopic: Yes I agree, I am alway very careful when it come to that, listing gears per jobs instead of class "Disciple of war/magic" etc would already be a plus, and its not that hard to change.

Anyway back to the issue at hand.

Well i would have to agree with the Op. With all the lag in Rev Toll, clicking can be delayed and so can be a pain.

Something should be in place with regards to that and the simplest thing i can come up with is, only show the items that are available for the class you are.

Since you can only hold 1 of each item you won't be able to buy the same one twice so buying anything not your class won't be a problem anymore.

My personal 1st concern is the Mtomes limiation per weeks, I mean, I am ok to farm 4860 tomes of mythology to complete my full set of WAR and BRD equips, even if that imply that I need to successfuly complete 188 AK/WP, just for one job /sarcasm..

Because when you think about it, one ring/earring is 375ToM, which mean I can get one of them every 2 weeks, and they're cheapest! I am fuly aware that the game would be losing interest fast if it was too easy/fast to gear up, but seriously SE, in FFXI you were better at putting a carrot in front of a donkey to keep it going..

That would be fair if we could at least buy one of these earring/ring/bracelet a week, to /cheer us up a little bit more to keep going.

I personally don't see the problem with the way it is, I have 3 classes at level 50 and two of them are fully kitted in DL gear, and I never had the problem of buying the wrong thing. It's pretty obvious that the ones you want say either "CASTING" or "HEALING" at the end (for DoM) and you just click on the one that you need, it's not hard?

I was just merely suggesting that the could separate the list. Like do one set of healing in on top and one whole set of casting on the bottom. That is all. I'm thinking of players with visionary disability or people with dyslexia. It is not their fault that they have that disability. I just want everyone regardless of disability to have fun in the game like everyone else.

One very sleepy night I bought a full set of DL accessories for BLM thinking I was buying it for lancer. So now I'm running dungeons for my Lancer again while useless accessories I'll never use are taking space in my retainer. Fun stuff let me tell you. Couldn't even contact a GM to help me with the issue cause SE doesn't believe in customer service.

Doesn't it give you a warning if you buy gear higher than the level you have for that particular class?

I'm always buying higher level gear to carry around for when I level up so I can just swap it in without having to head back to a main city. I always get this warning message when I'm about to buy it.

(Granted this wouldn't help with players that have multiple 50 classes and is looking to buy a piece for a specific class)
