I think I did AK with an i55 weapon, all AF gear and maybe one DL accessory. People seem to have forgotten what is actually possible after having made these dumb "need relic +1 and full DL" requirements to run the level 50 dungeons.

I've always felt that the 1st boss in AK was harder than the 2nd or 3rd (No Spoilers) when I started to run AK.

I'm sorry to the party I left just after the demon wall was beaten due to my poor time planning and the run taking a little longer than I allowed for (35 mins to get to that point). I did explain why I was leaving, and it was the first time I've ever had the DF exit penalty. Hopefully you got a replacement DPS without too much delay, and the last boss went well.

I cleared it in AF with the rest of my group also in AF. All it requires is updated ilvl 49 jewelery and your class' crafted lvl50 green weapon. It won't be a speed run but it's also doable. I don't understand why people think AK is difficult.

your math is way off. Look at af. 4/5 pieces are item lvl 50. next in progression is WP gear, then crafted militia gear (hq). Add each piece up and Wp gear is a decent upgrade over af, NO I DONT THINK ITS NEEDED FOR AK. But youre still way off lol.

WP was designed for people in AF. AK was designed for people in WP gear.

Sure, AK CAN be done in AF, but a lot of people need to lean pretty heavy on the gear crutch since a staggering amount neither know proper rotations nor what most of their abilities even do.

Ak can be done in af if you have either gc or ifrit weapon and know what you're doing and can play your class. Problem is most people fate grind to 50 so it's easier just to ridiculously over gear in full darklight to run AK. People use over gearing to compenstate for not knowing how to play their class and people wonder why titan HM fails all the time even when people are in darklight with primal weapons.

I've started to join parties in progress. Last night I had a fun one where the tank and healer bailed before the 1st boss. When I loaded in we had no tank and my initial reaction was one of dread and wondering if I should just drop now. Waited a couple minutes chatting with them and we got a tank in AF. The DD were in a mismatch of gear so I'm not sure. They all seemed familiar with the run but were apparently playing on different jobs than normal. We finished the run just fine and had fun doing it.

Knowing the run is probably the most important part. If you know the run, everything else is much less important.

I passed Demon Wall in full AF....it's not a gear check as much as it is a competence check.
