If you disconnect, I think someone still has to eat the lock out timer. I have never purposefully disconnected but I did have connection issues before and when I logged back in after a disconnect, I would rejoin the same party. On the opposite side, if someone else disconnects and doesn't return, the party has to wait 5 minutes or something for that person to be kicked or someone has to leave and eat the lock out timer. So I don't think there is actually a way for everyone to get around the lock out.

P.S ( got nothing against crafted gear but wearing lvl 48-49 gear in a lvl 50 dungeon and not even having sockets filled is just trolling )
It's a level 50 dungeon with the purpose of gearing people up. People just starting it should be in high-40s and exactly-50 gear and it's more than doable at that level.
Frankly, if you're not running with crafted jewelry at least, you're not getting nearly as much value out of a run, even it takes maybe 5 minutes more.

If you have such stringent gear requirements you shouldn't be duty-findering in the first place.

Sorry man, if a group is just plain bad, or some douchebag wants to start screaming and calling names. I'm leaving. Sometimes I only have time for one quick DF run, and I won't spend that time with a stressful group.

I DCd in Castrum before and took a lil while to get back in and I wasn't in Castrum and I had no lock out timer (it didn't take 15mins to log back in either). If someone DCs in the party and they are kicked you can leave the party w/o lockout cause I've done it. And Force DC is how you get around the lockout.

OK, I agree with that. But you still have to wait for the auto kick when someone DCs. Sometimes it takes a relatively long time like 10 minutes but it's usually just a couple minutes.

I don't like quitters but I'm sure there're no place in hell reserved for anyone just because they quit playing some video games.

I think it depends... If after a couple tries.. it seems hopeless.. I don't see whats wrong with quitting.. or if the energy of the party is bad.. i.e... lots of smack talking.. I don't see whats wrong with quitting.. Some parties you can tell.. it won't work.. so why beat a dead horse.

Where I do have a problem with it.. is when someone quits after one or two tries.. and it seemed possible to beat.. On Garuda HM we were so close.. and after the fail.. someone quit.. that is what I don't agree with..

In FFXI.. you EXPECTED to fail a couple times... wasn't a big deal..

I don't hate quitters as much as I just feel sorry for them. Was running SV for the first time last night and we wiped on the first boss (my fault). Dude up and leaves instantly rather than give it another go.

Got it together after that tho and banged out a quick run through the rest, pretty dang good considering that only 1/4 of us had done the dungeon before. No problems with other bosses at all.

Why'd the guy leave so quick? By the time he waited through his 15 min queue we were practically done with the rest of the dungeon. People have no patience at all....

There is green iLVL 55 crafted gear to buy. So no time travel needed. It's just lazy not to check for upgrade once you cap your level.
