Server Population

Well, here we go.

I would like to know what you guys think the most highly populated server is. Obviously they're ranked from 1-3 Chocobos, but past that rating I don't think there's really a way to tell what the most populated server is.

Right now, the 3 Chocobo servers are:
Selbina
Mysidia
Cornelia
Figaro
Gysahl

Of those 5 servers, which do you guys think is the most highly populated, and how many people do you think are, on average, on that server at any given time? If you don't know how to guess that, how many people, based on experience, would you say you see around Ul'dah?

And last, is there a way to check which has the highest population without speculation, like a site that actually measures the server traffic? I looked on the Lodestone but couldn't anything about it (maybe I'm blind!)

The chobo symbols change throughout the day.

They do not represent how many people are registered on a server, but how many people are online at one time in a one area.

The chocobos will change depending on the time and day. Since each server has different Na/Eu/Jp populations.

As far as I know there is no sites that record the server traffic.

Cornelia is semi crowded in Uldah you will not get into Behest in Uldah camps at certain times in the day. Outside that it is not more crowded then the lowest population server though. Atm the only populated place in the game for anyone seems to be uldah.

Can't say for sure, but I can tell you about mysidia as my alt homes there. It is the unofficial jp server, and before the quake I have seen 100 + people in camp horizon at the same time. It not quite that populated since the quake, but I still see alot of players on. Wutai is were phil is at and there is a noticeable population difference, and wutai is said to be one of the busier 2 chocobo pop. Servers

Chocobo symbols fluctuated when i first picked, i picked Selbina because it most consistently had max Chocobos at night when i play.

if you have a fast enough server you could parse lodestone to find out how many characters they are, tho SE might not be too happy lol And it would take like a month. (Or fast enough home ISP, would need 100mbs or more)

All I do know is up until about 2 weeks ago, all players had a 7 digit ID number, this ment the game could hold a maximum of 10 million characters, but now all new characters have a 8 digit number which provides 100million combinations, but this number is no incremental per character as there are millions of blank 7 digits and thousands of empty 8 digits. I made a new character recently and it was around 10256740 and there is just no way there has been 256k new characters made, so if you could work out how this is done you could probably work out how many characters there are without parsing and just using Math.

ffxivpro.com has about 230k verified characters. But how many of those are now deleted or not playing is unknown.

Couldn't say for sure on Lindblum but to me it seems pretty busy I wouldn't be able to even give a rough idea of how many players are on it but at Leve reset it gets very crowded at the camps. Don't know how it compares to other servers though as I have never been on one as I'm Lindblum for life ^^

Plenty of new starters though had 2 join our LS last night that just started and also some old faces have begun to reappear in anticipation of the June update.

I play on Selbina myself and I don't seem to see too many people anywhere but Ul'dah and Camp Horizon. Maybe they all hang out in Coerthas and Mor'dhona, or maybe they're on at like 8 AM my time? I don't know.

Broken Water's very packed on Selbina right after resets. Nanawa Mines/Nophica also. If you decide to run a behest @ Mun Tuy or Tranquil because you're in the area, you're probably running solo. LL camps have a bit more action.

Heaviest traffic is probably JP primetime, NA isn't dead at all though. Haven't been playing the character I have on that server as much lately, but that's usually how it is.
