You're aware that your blatant white knighting is as bad as the trolling that is going on here? Right? You're not helping the game - you're making it worse.

This paragraph alone demonstrates you have no clue what you're talking about and I am done with you. You can mock my occupation all you want but when you don't even know what a word means from said occupation (and something which has existed in MMOs for years) you clearly have no backbone or defense to even argue. I feel like I'm kicking a puppy now, so I'm going to back off.No. Unbalanced means unbalanced. Unenjoyable means unenjyable (and this is very devatable, since I know quite a lot of people that enjoy it, I happen to as well, despite having my fair share of pet peeves). The nearest synonimous to "broken" when relates to games is "Unplayable" and FFXIV is very far from being unplayable.
Abriael they made the game free to play to stop losing any more players because they knew if they made people pay then they would have a hell of a lot less players now.
Look I understand you like the game great so do I but I am not going to pretend everything is alright when it is clearly not, things need to change and lucky for us SE knows that so they will make the changes they need to.
Again, I would love you to quote where I said that I believe that everything is alright. This game has so many things that are not "alright" that's not even funny.Abriael they made the game free to play to stop losing any more players because they knew if they made people pay then they would have a hell of a lot less players now.

I would infer that believing that SOME things are alright, and that things aren't as terrible as some say, doesn't nearly equate to believing that EVERYTHING is alright.
What I believe is that those "SOME" things that I judge alright, have the potential to be a solid game for the game in the future, and to keep it unique. The past history of MMORPGs post-wow shows that uniqueness is a necessary characteristic to reach any degree of success.
Also, you misinterpreted what I mean with "juicing players". It means that a developer/publisher that knows that a game is near closure, will try to implement revenue sources to juice the last players as much as possible.
IE: "make em pay, many will leave, but some will pay, it'll still be more money that making no one pay".
Turning a pay to play game into a "free until further notice" game, shouldering the whole operational costs for a prolonged period, and especially making the shareholders swallow that pill, means that SE is definitely confident in their ability to turn the game around and transform it into a profitable business.
It's an unprecedented move in the market, and it holds quite a lot of meaning.

Not related to thread topic but wow.. Abriael take a break man, you've posted in every single page and have been following this thread for a ton of hours.
Everyone has their own opinion and that's great but i get a pretentious smug narcissistic vibe from all your post.
take a break dude.
I like the armory system, and the physical level (although they should probably do away with the cool down and make it easier to change points, probably by just typing them in).
Other than that, I love that I don't have to carry a completely new set of clothes everytime I switch a job. I have a craft that's at 30 and one that's at 10? They can both use the same gear, even if one won't get all the bonuses. I think as long at the most level-appropriate/class-appropriate gear is the best then it's fine - people who want can invest in gear for each class and others can use gear between different classes that might not necessarily be the best for every one. Personally, I prefer to save my inventory space if I can!
To the OP I agree with everything you said and support your stance. Granted the game needs some improvements, but we cannot completely trash a battle/stat/armory system that the player-base has gotten used to for 6 months, I for one have enjoyed these parts of the game...I just want more content and options, I don't want a new game.
My soul is forever traveling, buried into the abyss of time...
I disagree. I think that SE can scrap the whole thing simply because I feel that in the end the balancing of this system will be too far out of control ESPECIALLY if they decide to introduce PvP. That being said, I don't think they will scrap this sytem but they will modify it quite a bit in my opinon to make it easier to manipulate and balance on their end.To the OP I agree with everything you said and support your stance. Scrapping the whole system would simply require a complete redesign of the game (since the game is 100% based on the foundation of this system), and i *seriously* doubt they can afford it, both time and resources-wise, especially considering that they need to allocate time and resources to many other elements of the game as well, that require equal attention.I disagree.
