Lost Inventory Items For No Reason

I was crafting in New Gridania, and noticed that items in my inventory just started disappearing. As Page 1 of my inventory suddenly had 3 open slots, I was surprised as to how that happened. I moved 3 items from another page to fill the slots, including a stack of Cobalt Rivets and a full stack of Grade 4 Carbnoized matter. A few crafts later, the first 6 slots of my Page 1 are gone.

I have no idea where these items went, they seem to have just disappeared out of thin air. I checked my retainers and everything, nope. Items in my inventory just started disappearing for no reason. What the heck?!

They were NOT splits of single crafting materials or food that got consumed. They were full stack items that I rarely use. It seems that I've lost 9 slots worth of materials to.....the game?

EDIT: I just found out what I lost, mostly food and potions. Stack of Mulled Tea (~94), Blue Cheese (~97), Gysahl Greens (~96), X-Potion (~15) and X-Ethers (~15), plus the stack of Grade 4 Carbonized Matter (~94) and Cobalt Rivets (99)
