There will be, and they wont admit thier feelings were hurt, and lash out in other ways, which create anamosity against other players when they enter the next dungeon.
If you did really good in an instance only to find out the vote was based on your gear, watching a cutscene, or because something beyond your control, how would you feel. Would that give you a reward to try to be better every dungeon? Or would it cause you to get angry at the system and lash out at other plaeyrs over an injustice?

I disagree. I think it will help motivate people to work as team and to be friendly with each other. We don't really know how it's going to work yet anyway, just wait and see what happens.
Would you doubt that this would work any diffearnt then a boot/kick system? Look at your fellow player who has no tolerance for your cutscenes during runs or your being under geared... I think this has already been tested though other means.

Just because there is a minimum iLevel requirement doesn't mean a player can't say: "You are not in the best gear so you automatically didn't contribute as much as everyone else in the dungeon and therefore will not get my MVP vote."
Yeah and they'd be within their right to not give you their vote.

Let's not give anyone a gold star sticker because some kids that didn't measure up will feel neglected because they didn't get a gold star sticker.

What you, me and SE will consider under geared, will not be the same as the majority of players who thinks only relic and full darklight. The majority of people have labeled most people in AK gear as undergeared. This should not be the case, in fact if someone in AK gear can play well they should automaticly deserve the MVP, but that will not be the case, instead youll have people who look at your gear and go your at the bottom of the gear pool and dont deserve mvp.

think of all the people who wanted a boot system and the atmosphere in reverant troll. The amount of players who would boot you for AK gear or half darklight or no relic is huge, even from posts on the subject, everyone who wantd the boot feature was because of player gear minorly unacceptable, which is why SE (making the right choice) did not put in a boot system. But these people who would boot you because of gear, you can assume would not vote for anyone as mvp who did not meet thier rediculous standards.
