    Bard change idea

    This is a really simple idea that I've been mulling over with some people in game and it seems to make alot more sense than just dropping the nerf hammer on the bard.

    Split the class! Take songs away from the bard throw in a couple extra Damage CD's or abilities and name it "Ranger."

    Now put the songs on a new Bard class, add a few extra songs and just have it smash mobs over the head like El Kabong. Ok, so I know that wouldn't work but it's an idea that people can build on.

    I know that SE would have to do some extra work and throw in new class quests and figure out a way to handle relic weapon redistribution for people, but doesn't that seem like a better option than just nerfing something?

    Anyway just thought I would put the idea up here for the forums to debate and expand on.

    I'm dropping bard as soon as musketeer is released. I hate singing songs and having a healing limit break.

    Dropping the bow for the gun, if Musketeer has a heal lb...I don't even

    EDIT: about the change to stay on topic, a Bard without songs would be even more bland than it already is. This game does not need support, it just needs a stun/silence. Songs are just easy mode till you become more efficient at a given instance.

    But what if the Musketeers Job is Corsair, they were pretty much the same as the current BRD job; a ranged DPS with support abilities. It would be nice if they did change the limit though, possibly so the Ranged Physical DPS have some line nuke ability or possibly an AOE Buff.

    Tanking is a job, DPSing is a science and Healing is an art.

    Well I actually do not know anything about the class from previous FF but tactics in which it only had a couple skills. It would be cool if they did a classic "equip ammo on second hand" or switch in match for different assortment of skills. A line nuke or something NEEDS to be implemented for Arch and Musk though.
