Yes we know we don't need it and there is a whole lot more to fix etc etc... It's all been said and heard but we like to imagine and fantasize.

i think aion's dance style looks to gangsta for FFXIV XD, just imagine roegadyns dancing to this style =P

There are like 15-20+ dance moves in aion with more variety depending on what race you choose. I just would love to see more dance moves in ffxiv... And even better if they are actual dances instead of just 1 spin etc

ya i agree the dance in FFXIV are really lame ;; i hope they can use real life dance and add it to ffxiv.

That "dancing" doesn't look like it belongs in any MMO, let alone FFXIV.

The thing with Aion though is that they actually take popular songs by different artists, as well as their dance moves, and turn them into emotes.

While this is more "fun" it's not suited for Final Fantasy.

Ok, so here's the thing.

Those dances are fine and all, but I think they're a bit too "you got served" for the general Fantasy/steampunk of FFXIV. That isn't to say that there isn't room for some lavish and attractive dancing, being that A) why not? and B) we have a bloody whore house in the game and I wanna see some seduction.

Here's an idea though that anyone who's played Shantae on the GB or DSiWare store. Implement an "Entertainer" class. Then implement certain jobs like bard and dancer.

Give dancer its traditional move set, however add the twist that you have to set up different dance moves yourself to activate certain techniques. This of course probably goes against the general idea for the battle system they have in mind, but hey, it's an idea.

Of course they could add better looking dance emotes as well, especially since they're motion-capping everything anyway.
