I want arrows keys mapped to camera!

Thanks the Gods! FINALLY! This has been making players and little kittens cry since post-alpha, when they changed it for who knows what reason.

I will be very happy to be able to map things however I like. I miss my camera to arrow keys!!!

I cannot even tell you how much I look forward to playing the game again. Not being able to map the keyboard is why I stopped playing. Too frustrating. I realize that I'm being picky, but that's just how it is. If I'm not comfortable with the controls of a game, I simply won't play it. I'm extremely glad to hear this is finally being worked on!!

I had to log in to say thank you for the news on this Rukkirii. This has been bugging the heck out of me since beta and still does. Glad to hear this and hope it's for real this time (they said during beta it was being worked on too -_-)

Game is only playable with a gamepad imo. I ran out of batteries on mine one day and tried to play keyboard. Too frustrating to actually do anything with. I had absolutely no problem with FFXI on keyboard since I used the numpad and the arrow keys, I loved it. I would gladly go back to keyboard if we could use the same keys.

FFXIV has a good Keyboard layout to me quickplay Battle Regimens just hold Shift an press the number and press G when ready i have never played with such a clean keyboard layout i never have to put my hand on the mouse to play W,A,S,D to move around and I,J,K,L to pan camera around freely if u wanna zoom out u use page up an down most people play with a control which is really disappointing because it really gimps there speed an amount of things that player can do from the control if u learn to use there keyboard layout u will gain speed an reaction time with certain commands an Battle Regimens

I take it you don't use periods because they only slow you down.

Can we get this in 1.17c or at least 1.18 pwetty please ;_; Don't get me wrong, I switched to gamepad already but I think playing with the keyboard will be more comfortable.
Oh and ppls don't set all your hopes into 1.18 :P You will be dissapointed nonetheless

The waiting and having patience is really stressing a lot of people (including me a bit ;S) but at the end it better be worth it
