While I think the game has a lot more to offer than just raiding, I do believe it'd be a good idea to make separate -insert name of current raid currency thing- caps for the different jobs somehow. So after capping one job, you can cap another job. SE can make separate raiding currencies for each job so the job can only cap for the job's equipment (so you can't raid with a WHM to get currency for SMN gear for example).

I'm pretty sure the ability to play whatever class/job you want on one character is supposed to be one of the game's biggest selling points that helps to separate the game from other MMOs. Not even WoW has that feature. Therefore it makes sense for it to be possible to gear up several jobs at once (if you can dedicate the time), rather than only being able to have one main job for raiding.
