Why do a Q&A when we don't really get answers for the majority of these.

Are there factors such as Moon Phases, Time of Day, and Weather Conditions that affect the Drops Rates and Quality of items obtained through gathering?

Similar suggestions have been brought up, but nothing specific has been decided.

Did they really read this question? The answer doesn't even seem like it fits.
As for the answer I and several other gathers have noticed an undisputable trend of moon phase effecting gathering.
New moon, increased chance of finding rare items
Full moon, low chance of finding rare items

This part is disputable, but it also seems the difficulty of success varies, new moon having lower chance of successful gathering, full moon having greater chance
Here are the items of dispute, rarer items are more difficult to obtain, and gathering fatigue can also play a part in the results.

I agree, I think they would be better off with the older polls with a suggestion box for each.
At the very least they would be better off just not answering if the question doesn't have an answer.
The ones that state they have no intention could also be lumped together, no need for each of these to show the same answer.

Actually, if you count them (I did), the majority of the answers are clearly "no".

Well, it does looked kinda vague...but as we can see it as an "yes or no" survey, i liked the answers ^^

They should have just selected some answers, or had the community select them, or the reps or something; then answered those. Trying to answer everything is...kinda crazy /shrug

Hmm a bit odd to do a DoL Q&A at this point, considering gathering isn't a priotity right now.

A suggestion:

Group similar questions together and have a detailed answer to that group. I think it would make the Q&A much more effective.
