    oh cool, Q&A time!
    well, as a Fisher at heart i probably got a question that not only i but alot of players have.

    Will the gathering Limit (Gathering Fatigue) get lifted or totally erased anytime in the future?
    i think the current maximum of items that can be gathered before the gathering fatigue is hitting in is to low, now i'm a 50 Fisher, and it was bearable because i didn't have to move around much while leveling.
    But as a Botanist or Miner you're constantly moving around, and with the Fatigue slowly making it impossible to keep on skilling i think the fatigue bar should be lifted a little, as it doesn't only get harder after around 150~ succesful gathering attempts, it's getting nearly impossible shortly after that.

    Swan feathers should not drop from cutting down a tree more frequently than raw lumber. There should be an option to "look for feathers," "chop down lumber," and "gather nuts and fruit," to avoid pointless drops. Why are there not different nodes or options for different materials?
    Will node locations start becoming random rather than their preset locations which can be easily abused by RMT and botters?
    I want to walk up to a gathering node, as a Thaumaturge, and gather my crafting materials rather than switching to a botanist. It takes several minutes to switch my gear, skills, and traits, just to make my job a Botanist for something that should be instant. Are there plans or the possibility of this happening?
    I have a discussion or .. suggestion to add to the question above. Basically, gathering should be nearly as simple as World of Warcraft (flame on fan boys). I want to walk up to a node, as a battle job, and just click it and grab my materials. There is nothing wrong with gathering this way. The current XIV system is ridiculous as each piece of gear takes 4-5 seconds to equip when your character suddenly disappears and then reappears. Even if a macro is setup, this macro takes itself 30 seconds to fully complete before you can begin the ridiculous hot and cold game which itself takes forever. The macros need to be instant and if I want to switch jobs I want it to take place in less than 2 seconds. Even better yet, have preset character equipment layouts that you can equip different gear for (which takes up NO inventory space if equipped, thus alleviating the need for 20 retainers and mules) and then when you go to a node, it automatically switches to that job.

    Crystal and shard requirements are insane for crafting, are there any plans to SUBSTANTIALLY increase the amount of crystals and shards through gathering?
    Will gathering be permitted without dismounting from mounts? If not, can this option be implemented... please.
    Can gathering professions not share levequests with the rest of the levequests? While you're at it, make all the levequests mutually exclusive so that we can have 8 battle leves, 8 crafting leves, and 8 gathering leves at each reset.

    What does Mind do for mining?
    Will gatherers get their own kind of endgame content similar to disciple of war and magic raids?
    What is the biggest shortcoming in gathering design that will need attention? You can't say inventory space!
    Crafters currently have gatherers under their thumbs in terms of who holds most of the economic value in their relationship. Any plans to strengthen the economic power of gatherers?
    How will the higher levels of gathering differ from the first 50 levels of gathering in the future in terms of balance or goal?
    Can we get R48-50 primary tools soon?
    Are there plans to reward effort and innovation in gathering, just as in the battle design?
    Is gathering fun enough to be a major Final Fantasy activity?
    Will gathering classes be included in the new job system?
    Are features allowing gatherers to link alt accounts and take its SP for their gatherer "working as intended?"
    Is the feature that allows low-level gatherers to follow high-level gatherers around their leves and get more hits at high-grade nodes than otherwise possible working as intended?
    Any plans for endgame or co-op gathering?
    Is there a better solution to limiting production besides gathering fatigue?

    Here are my questions:

    Currently there are very few gathering points on each map for botanist and miner, requiring more movement than compared to battle classes to skill up. Sometimes to a different region. Are there any plans to add more harvestable points per map square?
    Will there be more DoL leves in the future?
    The current DoL leves are few, and the time and SP rewarded for completing them is rather small. Are there plans to lengthen the leve requirements from say 3 logging points to 6?
    The input lag between hitting enter and the cursor stopping is problematic, is this being looked into?
    Inventories fill up quickly while gathering and items we're not looking for drop often, could a pop up be added after harvesting an item requesting "Would you like to keep this?" or "Toss it out"?

    Will we see some kind of Party based gathering quests / leves in the future?
    Id also like to add on a side note, like many others concerns about the rate of leveling for gathering classes, it takes way too long compared to battleclasses now.

    Some of the questions I thought of:

    Will we ever be able to group up on gathering jobs to complete a fieldcraft leve or join up on a gathering node?
    Will gathering jobs ever be needed for dungeon content? Example: clearing boulders or brush to an optional boss or an optional route which leads us to the end of the dungeon; or even fishing up an optional boss?
    Are there any plans to reintroduce FINAL FANTASY XI's Fishing mechanic of possibly fishing up monsters?
    Are there any plans of making the gathering jobs a lot more interactive and engaging with their own special abilities?
    Why can Wrist Flick stun level 60+ NMs (Uraeus, Great Buffalo, Dodore, Haughtpox Bloatbelly, Elder Mosshorn) with ease and consistency?
    Are there any plans to have Arbor Call, Lay of the Land, and Gulleye ping or mark the mini-map (and main map) with an arrow to follow instead of it indicating the location via text?

    Can you make Disciples of the Land relevant in fights/dungeons? Miners weakening stone monsters, finding better items, opening weak walls in dungeons, etc.
    When the game was about to come out, we were told classes like Miners could, for example, find weaknesses on stone-based monsters and that Disciples of the Land would find different/greater materials from monsters.

    Any plans to alleviate inventory stress for gatherers? Maybe finally add a pouch equipment they can use for materials?
    Man, I hope they aren't just planning to take '+' materials away...

    Edit: Woops, Keftnek and SydeBeheln beat me to the first question. Should I delete it?
