    If this is to become a regular thing every 2-3 weeks (hopefully it can be every 1-2 weeks! Might be too much to ask for, though), you probably should just start your own thread. Like, "Official Dev Q&A! This weeks's theme: GATHERING" or something like that.

    It would probably get more recognition if we can see that the thread creator is a CR.

    Cool! Having such Q&A posts are very interesting (except by the "we will look into it"...if this is the answer then it shouldn't be added to post, leaving the spot for a question that has an answer).

    About gathering i got some questions:

    Are the current dungeons going to receive gathering points? Its very sad having mines and not being able to mine there or seeing all those shiny fungi of Cassiopeia Hollow and not being able to harvest them.
    Are we going to have new methods of gathering, like new secundary tools for different nodes?
    Is shepherd coming anytime soon?
    Are there plan of making certain actions from DoL usable by DoW/M and vice-verse?
    Is there any parrty content planned for DoL? Would be nice seeing a way of them partying with other gatherers or even with other classes/jobs.
    Any chance of having jobs coming from DoL classes?
    Is there any grind mechanic that is not loot based planned for them? Something that isn't affected by gathering fatigue!
    Any chance of guildleves becoming immune to gathering fatigue? Its terribly annoying you passing an entire leve without fishing a single fish due fatigue.
    Does moon/weather affects fishing performance?

    I got a question referring to the Materia system and gathering if it can be answered

    As far as we are aware, Catalysts for Materia will be obtained via gathering classes. Will each gathering class get unique Materia? In other words, will Fishers get catalysts that Miners will not have access to?
    It takes way too long to level a gathering class in comparison to a battle class. Any way to speed gathering up or slow battle down?

    Here are my questions.

    Are there any plans for group related gathering content, as was hinted in early development?
    Are there any plans to release gathering nodes higher than Grade 5 for Miners and Botanists "As well as populate the 6-10 nodes for fishing?
    Are there any plans to bring in new ways to gain SP for gathering classes? IE: New types of Leves or some other form of SP gain.
    Are there any future plans to integrate the gathering classes into a more co-operative scenario, or will gathering remain a mainly solo activity?

    I hope these aren't already put up somewhere so forgive me if they're wrong but here are a few I've got that have been nagging me, specifically the first.

    Why are our DOLs gathering abilities luck based and/or based on the Random Number Generator?
    Instead of making our gathering abilities abysmally chained to luck (enough of our game/DOL classes already are) why not make the gathering abilities like DOM/DOW, with a cool-down? This way we could get more consistent results and use our abilities as we see fit.
    The above particularly is an issue when you're trying to go for HQ items and want an ability to aid in your search, or simply for leveling, if we could use Sweat of Brow consistently rather than it triggering on that last swing (or in really bad luck cases: when you finish gathering at a tree or finish your leve and it triggers) it would help with a more consistent SP gains. In terms of using the abilities that grant higher HQ item chances, the results are obvious, if you go mining away at a Jade node hoping for +3, your ability can never trigger, but if you are at an iron node it'll trigger whether or not you want it to.

    I for one think we deserve more control. After all we have the same SP requirements per rank as DOM/DOL, we have two types of fatigue as gatherers and for all but fishing we have nothing to grind on in the very very long final stretch to cap. It would also place a bit more control in the hands of the players and lessen that "bad luck" streak that is just so common in this game.

    Will there be party based gathering (similar to the group crafting concept) ?
    Imagine a farming or building concept that gatherers must work together to keep the resources up. Something along those lines i suppose.

    ALSO

    Will there be gathering competitions (Ex. Who can catch the most or biggest fish!) ?

    Why can't we mine inside of the mines!

    Could you make a system when Gatherer party together with DoW/DoM or even DoH?
    Gather item from living monster, while other defend him = cool
    Crafting bomb/trap/cannon while other fighting = cool.
    let player gather item and craft it instantly for event = cool.

    My Question:
    The speed of gathering animations has increased greatly, but connection latency seems slow down gathering significantly. Often, there are long pauses between selecting actions and the animation occurring. Will this be addressed and fixed?

    My questions:

    It was initially claimed that all disciplines (War/Magic/Hand/Land) would be of equal focus in regards to content/gameplay. Is this statement still accurate? Are significant gameplay and content additions planed for DoL?
    Will DoL have a role in end game content?
