    Well first of all: I play dragoon and I'm using ilvl 18 accessories fully melded / ilvl 15 armor with a Weathered Spear (fully melded of course) and whenever I fight titan Hard mode and I always parse above everyone in all of my groups INCLUDING WHITE MAGES (Holy is OP) so I don't understand what the problem is.

    Changes I'd like to see:

    Jump: Although full immunity while jumping is apparently off the table due to balance issues, the animation should at least grant a defensive bonus while you are up in the air. (+20 to all resistances, +10 slash/blunt/piercing) - This makes it very useful in boss fights, and much more faithful to the FF tradition.

    Power Surge: This currently increase damage from Jump and Spineshatter dive by 50%. It should be increased to 100% and also extend to Dragonfire dive.

    I thought the main points for Dragoon was that it was supposed to be a more forgiving type of melee damage, while being good at both single-target and area damage. I thought a big part of that was that they were supposed be invulnerable during any jumping attack animation.

    I think comparing any job to Bard or Black Mage as they are now is a mistake, since they both have so much utility and relatively easy DPS for both single-target and area damage with very minor downsides.

    Anybody who says MNK is harder to play to keep top dps compared to DRG is delusional. I have both to 50 and MNKs are easy mode and it's extremely easy to keep up greased lightning in all fights except Garuda. MNKs are also the only class that can use brute force macros for all their combos which makes it 100x easier to maximize their skill speed. In order for DRG to be comparable to any DPS, they have to get close to their 27 hit rotation as possible. DRG also more often than not dies while trying to maximize dps due to jumps being not invulnerable, but i prefer it that way because it separates me from the bad DRGs.

    Macros on a Monk? Uh...I wouldn't suggest that at all. Playing a Monk at a high level requires fluidity and improvisation at times that you won't get if you just use a macro. And I definitely wouldn't call playing a Monk "easy mode" given the staggering amount of bad Monks there are.

    You don't have to try and discredit the skill required to play another class needlessly to make your point.

    LOL op. My wife is a +1DRG and she doesn't do the best that she should do and still does a pretty high parse in her CoB group. Don't focus to much on the 27hit rotation? IDK what the problem is but DRGS are pretty pimp.

    the trouble arkista is this: why bring a dragoon, if you have a good monk available? what will he bring to the group that will make him interesting to take instead of a monk?

    The solution is obviously for Dragoons to group up with Warriors. The playerbase just needs to decide which of the healers is crap and we'll be able to have first rate and third rate parties.
