are they looking to include more variety in the battle music? Its getting a bit redundant to hear the same tune I heard at level 10 all the way to 42 from quests and random battles.

Maybe while fighting inside Crystal Tower or Pharos Sirius. Unlikely everywhere else.
i hate to refer to final fantasy 11... but the battle music changed depending on the enemy or amount of enemies being fought. I can deal with the features ff xiv have so far but this one part drives me crazy.
It was actually based on your party and current zone.
In the original zones you had different music depending on if you were in a party or not, and if you were in a dungeon or not.
All the expansion zones had their own music for being in a dungeon or in the field when in a party. If you were solo it just used the vanilla battle music.
When you get to the endgame stuff in 14 there is a good amount of unique music. All 3 primals have their own music (and so will the moogles), Coil has its own boss and regular enemy music, and it is likely that Crystal Tower will have its own music to help with the homage to FF3. At least they better cause I did like the music and would like to hear some remixes.
That said more music would be great, Soken is pretty awesome at what he does.
If they sold theme packs on the mogstation I would buy. I would love to hear music from ff12 (especially the "Boss Theme") and FFT. Its the same team so why not?
I don't run with in game music anymoreIt was great for a few weeks, but it's repetative now. Usually have Pandora/Youtube up in the background now. I would enjoy theme packs as someone else suggested.
Just wait 'til you fight Moggle Mog. ;D
