If you tell them that you account has been hacked, they need to investigate :S or at least let you know that they will begin an investigation.

They dont need to do anything when Characters got hacked, or ppl were dumb enough to give their password away.
You should be happy if your Character got restored and you didnt loose anything. But then you should thankfull to SE that they did it. There are ToS, which some ppl should read.
No offense really. Im happy if people got their characters back, which got hacked before. But i dont feel sorry if the Character is lost and ppl bitch at SE for having bad support.
Like Gun_Anam said, this is of course the wrong place to post something like that. Just write an Email to the Support and what they can make better, but be nice and patient or you wont get anything.

Please at least attempt to read it. The issue is that SE have the function to restore, and do the restorations, but give you a ridiculous reason for not even attempting it until you contact them enough.
PLEASE read it again.

Yeah, their support sucks. Hell, this game sucks. But people still swing from SE's gentlemans area with joy.

Nice to see SE still is as fail as ever from the XI days.
I've had some really bad experiences with customer service, Sony probably being one of the worst, but when I contacted them back in the XI days, SE took the prize.



Yes, same counts for you sir... like i mentioned before, just deal with the fact that a Recovery in those circumstance wont just take 1 call, which just will take 30 seconds.
And you tried it at the Weekend. My Tickets never get answerd until Monday morning when i shot out a Ticket on Saturday. And thats ok for me, since i also dont like to get pulled out at work at the weekends. But that is beside the Point.
Ridiculous Reason? I dont want to defend SE and their Support, but if i get this right the Mainreason for the LONG weekend was a single capital Letter, and if that is the case there was just missunderstanding at the Start of the whole thing. Due the System or the User, does not matter. Mistake was made.. who you want to blame on for that? SE? User? I dont think its SE fault to type in a wrong Number, but maybe they could have said "Please check if the Numbers are correct" and vice versa. If it was a mistake of the System it needs to be adressed in the Supportcenter, so they can fix it.
At the end the Character got restored and everyone should be happy, but i still dont see a Reason to say SE have a bad Support.

First off, regardless of the player's fault, this is a service that SE PROVIDES. And if they are willing to recover hacked characters, they should do that without all this madness or simply not do it anymore.
Second, this isn't limited only to hacking. Just ask around and you will find many players that had billing related issues and had problems with SE's customer service. Heck, search on google maps for SE's USA office and you will find complains, lol.
And third, this is FFXIV related. No reason for it to not be posted here.

If I was calling to ask for anything, the result should not be:
"We cannot assist further until you fix the thing that we won't tell you is incorrect, instead keep calling until you speak to a senior staff member who will need to be bartered with to tell you that the missing information is a capital letter".
Please tell me you have been able to wrap your brain around that point?
