My WAR buddy has cleared T4 with PUGs. Just because you haven't doesn't make it so.
He was already caught lying, he only cleared turn 1. and the issue isnt just "clearing t4 with pugs" the issue is "clearing t4 with 6 first timers with ZERO communication"
Personally if my FC needed to pug someone, i dont mind if theres a first timer as long as he is geared and can communicate in english. But everyone here needs to understand that any and all players will always see pugs with what i call "pug-tinted lenses" where we generalize all pugs into 1 perspective. And how we see pugs highly depend on our experiences. Maybe when we are just starting out and have no experience, we only have our assumption on "well im new, so everyone else must be better than me" and have your expectations high.
But there are those that experienced the horrors of pugging far more often than not and their perspective gets cynical and it makes it harder for pugs to join their groups. It happens in every multiplayer online game.
Maybe i suck, maybe everyone i know sucks, hell maybe there's some secret lever of some sort that makes shit spawn 1 at a time, but with current gear and myth caps i seriously doubt a FULL pug will down turn 4. I honestly don't think a pug can even deal with the silence rotation, tank swap and rot passing for turn 2. It would take that pug practice to do it, just like any other group. If they practice together a while and use voice chat, sure, but then it's not quite a pug anymore, is it.
Our group can carry 1 person through 1 and 2, so i'm sure for a group to get one pug and clear turn 4 is doable, if the pug is geared and has an idea of what's going on. But for anyone who says they shouted in rt, put together a full pug with no voice chat, went in and downed turn 4, they're full of crap. Period. I would not even bother with a pug past turn 1, you wanna do coil, join an FC. Plenty who raid 2 night a week for 2-3 hrs, so no matter how casual you are, you can get turn 4 done. If you can't play this game for 6-10 hrs a week, don't expect to learn coil atm. It takes our group about an hour to do turns 1-4, we have 4 groups doing this so on monday we clear those and the rest of the week we take people from all 4 groups and build one who wants to do twintania.
No FC with spots who want to? No problem, make a LS, get 7 other people, you can find a free server or pay like 3-4$ a month for a 10 spot voice chat and do it yourself, you can learn turns 1 and 2 in a few nights. Turn 4 is where the fun starts though. If you come to the forums to complain that no one will take you, make your own group, after spending weeks getting our ass handed to us, we don't really wanna change our group composition to take some random guy with us and have to spend hours teaching him our strats instead of downing it in an hour and proceeding to get our asses handed to us by twintania instead![]()

lol achievements u say i hope you guys are not crazy enough to think coil is 1 line dungeon unlike others
so i wouldnt care to map it

This games future is nil.
Seriously, turns 1-3 can be done in a mix of AK greens and DL gear. Full DL + Relic +1 is fine for Turn 4.
What needs to happen in future games is, remove any iLevel based system out of the fricken game. We group with people in full Allagan who are some of the worst players you could ever come across making people wonder how the hell they even got full Allagans in the first place.
Once you get Full DL and Relic +1, it becomes about Skill > Gear.

Well you don't have to map it though as I got turn II and III mapping achievement without even running thorough the whole place, I just clear it and got the achievement.
My LS does free titan hardmode carries a few nights a week for a few hours for randoms. I would also do this with coil, free carries through turn1-4, but a lock out system exists that makes me unable to help people without punishing myself ._. really dumb.
They really need to remove the lock out timer from coil and add a loot lock out instead, it's making the game less social and forces me to be rude to other players and not help my friends in need.
enough lies i didnt map sunken temple of qarn yet i didnt got any achievment about mapping it
while i cleared it multiple of times

the coils 2 and 3 maps in huge chunks, coil 3 per floor i believe. Coil 2 only has 2 portions: the boss & mini/boss area (everything that you can see on the map as soon as you enter), and the 2nd portion is the small corridor to turn 3, which is inaccessible unless the boss is dead.
So indirectly, the mapping achievements do show your progress.
