SE making NEW MMO

I just mean in general when we reminisce about how good games 'were' in comparison to how they 'are' now it would seem there are several more projects going on and being released then in the past, but not all of them comparable in quality or completion. I know there are several variables like several teams throughout Square Enix and being a publisher of other developers, but overall...some of the things I've been seeing I can't say I fully approve of.

For example, Square has there hand in so many things, even making models of Halo merchandise. Doesn't that seem so odd? They're dabbling in so much...but what has come out in the past 5ish years that really touched us like in the past? That felt relatively complete, compelling, and overall something we would add to our "favorite games" list. More often than not...games released in those past 5 years or so are talked about only to represent the 'bad' of them, and not about anything positive, but perhaps graphics?

I wouldn't mind people proving me wrong on these thoughts. I want to believe SE is as good as they have always been. I mean, I'm still here playing this game because I'm trying to hold out hope for it. But..as evidence feels like it's piling up before me, I'm starting to wonder...

this is also why me and my best friend play MMOs, we dont even play the same MMO lol.
for me the whole playing with other people aspect is just a cool side option.

Why do you want to play MMOs if you just want to play solo?

was asking me the same... there are just too many solo-mmos out now... do we really need more of them?
In the end they all end up the same and people are complaining since they finally find out that soloing from 1-50/80 won't cut it and they are looking for a gear-horny raid-shell to get purples ...

It'd be so nice if they made an MMO that is PC only. And with a staff that has MMO experience. It'd also be great if it'd be a bit more modern or futuristic. I'm pretty much done with variations on medieval settings.
