Suggesting otherwise is defending the game code as it currently is.
I'm not saying the system itself is fine. But what I am saying is people are totally misunderstanding the situation. It appears people don't understand that you have to get out of the aoe before the aoe indicator goes away as opposed to the animation itself. Should they make it so the indicator is synced up with the animation? Yes - BUT the fact of the matter is, is that people are not getting out of the aoe in time and it's their lack of reaction that is getting them killed and not lag or anything else they blame.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that some(or even a greater amount than that) do indeed realize that you need to be out of the AoE before the indicator goes away.

    Just...just putting that out there cus...ya know...yeah...

I wish I could agree, but then I see posts with people posting videos of "proof" where they screw up in exactly this way and yet still think it means the game messed up. *shakes head*

If he had said SOME people don't realize it then I'd agree.

I have a crappy ping to the server, but I can go through Titan without being hit once due to memorizing his rotation and moving quicker than most people have to. Though I do still play the game, I think that sucks. I raid weekly on SW:TOR and do not encounter this problem. The weird thing is the FF14 servers are closer to me than the SW:TOR ones.

I don't think anyone in this thread can 110% say that they know exactly what everyone in this threads issues are. They could be experiencing this simply because they're on wireless, their ISP sucks, routing or server issues. Denying the existence of one or the other I think, frankly, doesn't do anything but upset people.

This is EXACTLY what I think. Everyone shouting doom at the supposed bad netcode is blatantly ignoring every single player out here who was able to do something on their end that fixed the problem. If even 1 person can do something independent of the server and it clears up the problem then logically speaking that immediately casts great doubt on much of the "bad netcode" suggestion. This is basic troubleshooting 101.

If so many people have to jump through hoops to get a game experience similar to almost every other AAA MMO on the market, those people are just going to go give their money to that company, instead of paying SE in order to troubleshoot some phantom client side fix.

The only people who seem to be blatantly ignoring anything are the people who immediately blame the player and their ISP.
