And just curious Borfin, have you done any troubleshooting on your end? Have you tried doing a ping and and route trace to SE's servers that show there is nothing wrong on your end?

The fact you don't have issues in other games means absolutely NOTHING. Just go troubleshoot your stuff, that's ALL I'm saying lol.

I didn't say it would, but there WILL be people that it WILL be enough for, and this problem is going to be a large part of the reason why.

The fact of the matter is that WoW gameplay is crisp and responsive - part of why it's been so successful for so long. FFXIV's is not.

Server connection's Excellent, my ping is less than 30 at any given time I log in. Last speed test I did gave me 38m/s download speed, 15m/s upload. Enough for practically my entire neighborhood, let alone my own home.

Why do you assume I didn't? Is there anything in my post to suggest I've done anything BUT research the hell out of this issue?

I love this game. I won't be quitting, but I also don't want to see it go the way of SWTOR because the devs chose to turn a blind eye to the issue - and people white knighting it sure as hell aren't helping.

That isn't what a ping or route trace is...

If you trace your route and ping to their servers, it will tell you exactly what you are being routed through, each hop it makes, and the delay each hop takes. There may be ones taking too long, or timing out.

Paying customers are not going to go through hoops and troubleshoot their system, call their ISP, or bounce a signal off the moon in order to keep paying to play this game.

Either, SE resolves the issue and people go back to enjoying the game, or they don't fix it and lose customers. It's really up to them.

If these players were actually having severe issues with their Internet service and the root cause fell on the ISP. Than guess what.....they would indeed be having similar problems on other games.

If your ISP is to blame for your having crap ping, jitter, or fluctuating download speeds (where it drops to a snails pace) than your going to see problems when your doing anything on the Internet including streaming video, voice chatting, or running literally any game that requires you to do time sensitive movements such as dodging AOE in this game or any game for that matter.

If someone tells me they can literally play any other game online and not have these perceived lag issues of any kind...but they do have it on ARR...then guess what my conclusion is? There is a problem with ARR in some fashion or another..maybe its bad coding..maybe their servers are effed up..idk I am not a network engineer but there is an issue somewhere and it is not with their ISP when they can do everything else with no problems at all.

As I said before if this were an issue only affecting a select few than I would agree with you, however, there are so many posts on these forums alone with these complaints that you would have to be pretty dense to not put two and two together. BTW, the fact that most people have resorted to memorizing the pattern and pre-moving around the boss does not indicate that the problem is solved..players are simply coming up with their own work arounds to a rather annoying problem.
