So, sources for your data? Nevermind that latency itself is not the cause of the issue... last I check the main strat to Titan was to pre-move because if you didn't then you wouldn't be able to dodge stuff due to the cast bar and animation delay. That would seem to suggest that the majority do in fact have the problem, and that the minority can actually rely on the on-screen indicators. I obviously don't have set numbers, but I do have a few threads with many, many replies (one with 150 pages, in fact).. and the various threads telling people to pre-move, or cast a spell when they're out, or so on.

    Quit pretending it doesn't exist.

I would say that this issue actually happens in the range of 5-6 people in any given group I've been in. However, these people can be out of things (like I can) by about the 90% mark and still not get hit. This makes everything dodgeable in the game that we've come up to (we haven't done Twintania yet). Just cause people can dodge, doesn't mean the issue isn't present. It's still there, and the amount of players that it affects is huge, but not always noticeable because it can be really hard to tell if you were out by that 90% mark or if you were riding the line in the heat of things. Many will assume they just screwed up, even if it looks like they didn't (that comes from talking with various people in game, and the number of people that have come into other threads going "I thought I was just bad and missing something about when I needed to be out").

I also think you're missing the point when people are comparing it to other games. If the issue was lag, then undoubtably people would be hit by AOEs in other games as well, as people definitely lag in other games. Anyone, not any one specific person. There is always someone experiencing lag. You won't be able to find that in other games though because it doesn't exist (even though they have players that lag). Lag does not cause that. The closest you will find will be SWTORs skill delay issues at it's launched that they fixed soon after release.

Assume for a second I have a flat 500 ms latency across all games. A bit of a crappy latency, but usually not entirely game-breaking. That 500 ms ping can get me through any games except for SE's. Wouldn't it then follow that SE did something wrong on the programming side and is not up to par at all with industry standards? That's really what it boils down to. SE did something wrong on the programming end. Both with skill delays, and AOE positional updates. I can't say what exactly.. I don't have programming experience, and in a different thread I started there are plenty of folks that have taken that part of it up for me. Threads like this take away from the issue and give SE even more reason to ignore it.
