With the outcry of complaints being this loud (especially with such a minority of the playerbase actually coming to the forums in the first place), there will be a subscriber loss.

WoW is coming out with WoD. Many of the features FFXIV is proud of and that have attracted players (such as player housing) are being introduced. They're finally updating their outdated character models.

This is a game that doesn't suffer from this problem. This is a game that WILL attract players. I doubt I'll be included, but it's looking pretty enticing.

WoW doesn't have this issue.
Neither does SWTOR.
Neither does Fly4Free.
Neither does Legacy.
Neither does WHO.
Neither does (did?) AoC.
Neither does Aion.
Neither does Tera.
Neither does RIFT.

FFXIV is ALONE in having this problem this severe. These are ALL games that employ GTFO or DIE tactics.

In addition:

- The problem is resolved by casting an instant-cast ability immediately after moving out of the AoE. You still have to be quick about it, but it SIGNIFICANTLY lessens the strain.
- The problem is exacerbated if you've triggered an instant-cast ability BEFORE moving out of the AoE, even if you do so on-the-move. Cast something while in it. Anything. Bet you don't get out on time.

WoW has a similar coding "flaw" in that if your character is strafing it will check your position more frequently. For that reason, many high end raiders will strafe out of AoE instead of running forward or mouse-moving. It's not a problem unique to FFXIV - but it's the only game that's THIS BAD.

Tell me ONE MORE TIME this is a player-side issue.

I dare you to look that stupid.
