Red Ring of Death!

I'm not sure about others, but personally, I get the red ring problem during certain hours of day which are non-peak on my end, and in scenarios where the number of people in one small area exceeds the server's capacity to deal with it.

My problem is not with any one dungeon or boss fight, and it's not all the time. But it is not related to lag on my end, or at least, not originating from my end.

Download any demo of battleping or similar. The few minutes they give you should be enough to test.
If that solves your issue, then it's not SE.
If it doesn't, ping the VPN server.
If even that is not ok, blame your ISP otherwise you can blame SE.

Nobody is saying that lag doesn't exist people. It does, we all know it does. But there is a big difference between the servers lagging during prime time or some other issue and this. The former will affect most if not all of your raid, not just 1 person.

I'm not saying SE shouldn't work on improving issues (don't worry they can't afford to do that, they are working their butts off). But most people experiencing this issue are not troubleshooting their own connections, they use justifications like, WoW doesn't lag so I don't need to check or change anything on my end. And I'm sorry, but that just isn't true.

Hopefully the people following this thread will try some of the things people have suggested in this thread to see if it improves their situation at all, even if they think it's SE's fault.

What some isolated people are experiencing is completely different from the core issue the entire game suffers from.

That would be band-aiding the issue, and would make the fights easier for any of those not experiencing it. We just want the issue fixed (which wouldn't impact all those not seeing it to begin with), not the fights dumbed down.

I don't know what OP's purpose was with this topic, to become hated amongst the community or what? If the purpose of the topic was to help people suffering from this issue it is not very evident from the arrogant rhetoric of his/her.
Aaa-anyways.

I have a 100/10 mbps connection and I can cast esuna while running and get hit by aoes when I'm out of them. 50-60 fps on dungeons with high settings. Absolutely no lag problems with any other game whatsoever, no conflicting software etc.
What can I do please tell me? Is my only option to move out of Finland to play this game?

Basically what this topic is all about to me is: "Unless your american, japanese or canadian --> don't play the game"
I'd rather think the issue is not the oversea connection, but instead something on SE side. I mean, how stupid would it be from SE to make an online game that is unplayable by nearly a billion people living on one of the wealthiest areas of the world? (Europe).

I would love to see this guy do the same gif, with the atk from wp first boss... if u not on the move i find to be impossible to avoid his red circle, the cast is simple to fast for the delay in this game.
