    Dummies Attack Back

I know it might be a bit lazy, but I'd like to have dummies do a small auto-attack back for testing tanking stats. Like, so you can test block rate and parry rate. Maybe not all dummies, but maybe one special dummy in the group that would attack you as well.

I have wanted this in every mmo I have played.

Enmity isn't hard here, especially single target enmity, but I've always wanted the dummies to track enmity/threat too.

The hits could be larger, 20% of your hp each, but also have a debuff on them that healed you for 30% each hit.

I agree. When they attack you, you should have a buff on you called "Training" that resets your HP back to full, once it hits 0.

It might be an idea but the point of dummies is you can hit them forever and they will never die. However, your dilemma you can still do it without a dummy, as long as you don't hit that specific mob.
It's an intricate thing you are asking for, problems will arise like:
    1. how would you calculate your dodge chance on a level 1 dummy for example (higher level players dodge more often on lower level mobs). Can maybe scale the dummy to the player's level, but more problems/in depth coding needed.
    2. if somehow these dummies were made to attack, to scale, multiple players won't be able to use it.
    3. err, too sleepy, can't think of more

Anywho, not totally abandoning the idea though, might see it, maybe...

Could have dummies with levels of 1,5,10...50,55,60 at different camps for testing against for the evasion thing. Like put a level 1 dummy in the starting camps, but put the high level ones in Mor Dhona or Coerthas. It would be kind of funny to see a low level character die to a high level dummy as well.

Dummies have already different levels, if I saw it right. Low level camps have low level dummies and high level camps have high level dummies.

Another idea to develop the dummies more would be dummies with a parser function. After you hit the dummy hp down to 0, statistic data should show up in the chat, to see what skill did what damage, how many crits you did, the average damage and the time you needed.

That would make the dummies to the perfect trainings tools ^^

Why not have a dummy in our Inn rooms. It can change depending on the level of the class/job you enter the room as. You can then beat it to a pulp it will never die, you are also unable to die. You get a report of how much damage you did to it. How much damage it did to you. How much resources you used (mana etc)

In before screenshots appear of dead adventurers in front of training dummies.

Not that this is a bad idea. It'd be nice to look into. maybe one of those Chinese spinning posts (Not sure what they're called, There was one in the movie Ip Man...)

I would approve of at least one dummy or even a small group of dummies in every major city so tanks could practice their tanking. If possible a group of dummies who's hp drop random amounts at random times so healers could practice their craft.

I never did think it was fair that only dps were able to practice rotations before a dungeon.
