Yeah if it's a FC party, you should all know what you are doing anyway. With pug groups, you really need to watch how the run goes. If the tank is taking rapid damage, you won't be able to do it.

Sounds like a lot of work just to save a few minutes.
It is. But my idea is to hurry up if the tank decides it's a speed run via DF.
@Op: use holy especially on the little puddings. CLERIC DAT. It's amazing. But priority first. If you some how can't (because I have never had a tank died on me yet when I holy the puddings) then I think something is wrong. But if you guys have FULL gage of LB and you have dragoon (or any melee dps I think but I only see dragoons do it) they can LB right as soon as you start. Like don't have the tank pull. Dps pull with LB and the puddings adds should come out asap. Start spanning holy twice or three times. While tank grabs agro and then you should be good. And when the pudding spawns again holy spam. You should only holy spam that boss 2 times. Like first add spawn and the second. If it takes any more to do that, DD is not enough from dps. If you have a bard they can help you when you spam aoe.
That is the only major advice I can give you with holy spamming in WP if your tanks hp is just draining away. If you think you can pull out holy once in a while during mobs it's cool. But know it's mp draining and your party should know better than to have you risk draining a lot of your mp and risking the party's hp.
If you're unsure of yourself, at least cast it twice so you can take advantage of its Stun effect.
Also, make sure your tank is moving. I see lots of tanks that like to sand in one spot, but if you run in circles so the mobs have to keep spinning/running to hit the tank, they'll take significantly less damage.
9-15mins for a whm that dps/holys. Its all about timing of spells.
You can really only cast Holy as long as the other people in your group are playing optimally as well, meaning they need good gear and good job execution too.
this is what i say "we, as a tank/dps have encountered many types of healers, and watch their different types of play styles.." in WP, usually the WHM who spams Holy during the second mini boss really helps a lot the fight.. i always prefer a WHM than a SCH bcoz of this, Holy in WP is very precious.. really helps a lot in the battle.. dont afraid to spam Holy in WP especially if the party has a bard.. but by reading this tread, i guess i need to know from healers perspective too.. where the need to ensure to keep party alive but at the same time spamming HOly..
My normal rotation for WP mobs is to pre cast stoneskin on tank then do divine seal and regen when they pull. After that cleric stance and Holy x4 the first will stun so lets the tank regen a bit more after that you can drop cleric stance if your tank is taking damage or if you have a decent Tank you should be able to tag mobs with DoT's before switching out. If the Holy spam pulls aggro you can use shroud if you have it. Remember to stoneskin yourself regularly in case mobs attack you. You can also refresh stoneskin after Holy spam on Tank to give an extra few seconds before they need a heal. Divine Seal plus regen with stoneskin i always find buys me a lot of time especially if it's a particularly good Tank who uses their defensive abilities effectively.
Even in pug groups you should be able to pull off around 3 Holys per group.
Start every pack with a Divine Seal Cure II/Regen, then on the Cure II that hits the Tank's Max HP, quickly mash Swiftcast + Cleric Stance + Holy, then Holy spam 2+ times as you feel comfortable, it's a lot easier than it appears.
1st Pack. Holy Spam until your Tank is almost dead and cast Benediction, if you're running a PLD, you can forgo the Benediction for Hallowed Ground instead.
2nd Pack. Sleep. Single Target the Tonberry.
3rd Pack. Very little damage, Holy spam to your hearts content.
4th Pack. You can't get away with too much Holy spam here, you may have benediction off CD, if you do, spam Holy.
5th Pack. If you're running a PLD, now is the time to spam Holy with Hallowed Ground.
That's not so much to do with mobs having to spin, that's more to do with not being able to Parry/Block unless you're facing the trash and the AI has a "swarming" mentality so they surround the Tank if they stand still meaning they can't Parry/Block.If you're unsure of yourself, at least cast it twice so you can take advantage of its Stun effect.
