For starters, FC housing lots will be limited, therefor people will be up poop creek without a paddle if they are not in a FC that happens to be lucky enough to get a lot to build on, then what? Wait for 2.2 for Player only housing? yes makes complete sense.

Even then, FC housing is a guild house, not a place where people can express their individuality or show off their creativity side.

If you even remotely think that majority of the games population wants FC housing first over player housing, then you are just wrong.

Final note, I suggested they release FC & Player housing together, not separately.

When MMOs first came out the gaming abilities of the general populous were limited.

Fast forward to today and most of the MMO players have been playing for a decade or more these players have gotten better at this genre. Because of that content is being consumed much faster now than it was in what some might say was the "Golden Era" of MMOs back in the early 2000s.

It is true that most MMOs are going towards the feared "Casualization" but its because people don't have time to sit and play for hours and people are better at playing them and thus go through content much faster now than a decade ago.
This is a very poor and misunderstood misconception.

People in general have more time to play and social network across multiple media platforms in todays age. People are spending more time online then ever before. I keep expressing this over and over again. Because of the amount of social media network platforms in place today, if people are not playing this game, they are playing that game and if they aren't playing that game, they are playing another game and if they aren't playing another game, they are playing some other game and this can go on and on. This then is spread across many different platforms of gaming i.e. FPS, RTS, MMORPG, RPG, Indie etc.

The fact is, people are impatient today. They have no clue how to be happy with what they got or how to enjoy something for what it is and would rather whine and complain to get it changed. Companies in general have run so many pyshc evaluations on how the majority perceive their time spent playing for risk vs. reward today that they know that this WoW clone cookie cutter cow milking mentality will work because all they have to do is sell 2+ million copies of the game (not including revenue from subs) to cover the R&D of the game itself, everything from there is profit. Most games are proven to sell 4+ million copies of the bat due to over hype alone.

Anyways, as I said, this is another issue in of itself. We should start another thread for that.
