Seen this posted a few times, and it's not entirely correct. The IP's showing there may be the one that the scripts for the site are using, but it's not necessarily the ones your game client is using. Your server may actually have an interface at the IP listed there, but that does not mean your client is maintaining a direct connection to it. We appear to be hitting a gateway that routes us to the proper server according to the content we are using, so if you watch it enough you may see it change from time to time. For instance, it says Midgard is .28, but my client is connecting to .74, and when I use the DF I see .31 pop up. I haven't seen .28 show up yet. That's what you need---the IP's your game is actually connecting to.Fourth Step:
How do i find the server IP
Go to http://www.arrstatus.com/ hold you mouse button over that server you are on and the Ip will show.
In the more recent Windows versions, can run resmon from the Run or Search box, expand the TCP or Network sections, and find your FFXIV entries. In XP, you can open a CMD prompt and run Netstat while you are playing and find the IP's there. There are switches you can toggle to show the process that created it (forget which one it was), but they are easy enough to spot, as they all start with the same numbers. One should be showing for a JP server (starts with 124.) and you may see one or more starting with 199 for the Canadian servers. Those are the IP's you need to research.
Edit:
If you go through the servers there, you will see some are using the same IP address. Odin, Adamantoise, and Faerie are all showing 199.91.189.30. Pheonix and Mateus are both on .22, Zalera, Exodus, Hyperion, and Gilgamesh all show .57. Some others are sharing IP's as well, but those just kind of stood out when I skimmed them. I certainly hope they all aren't actually using those same IP addresses for their clients. If they are, that could certainly explain a lot about latency and server lag issues on their end.
