    WHM Benediction

    When playing on the White Mage job, I've noticed that sometimes Benediction will not work as intended. Example: Party member close to death will receive benediction and die anyway. The skill was indeed used on a party member that needed it because the cool down timer is active, however, they still died.

    If my Benediction skill is cooling down, then why is this party member dead?

    It seems as if there is a split nanosecond where the party member dies and benediction is able to go through to them, but not heal them to full because they are already dead.

    Does this make any sense to anyone else? It is kind of hard to word.

    All I am trying to say, is that if my timer is cooling down from successful use, why are people still dead?

    Maybe the programmers can fix this to where the skill is nonusable at this critical moment where someone receives the effect as a dead body so it can be used on someone else.

    This is in fact a well known issue around the game. The same goes for Hallowed Ground on Paladins as well. Its essentially a server latency issue which registers the final blow before the heal, and causes both actions to occur. Unfortunately, benediction cannot heal a dead person, and so the person dies anyway.

    Animation lock is a pretty crappy thing as well (where the animation has to complete before the action actually goes off), which we are all hoping for a fix... When that happens is anyone's guess.

    The animation for benediction takes a good bit out of it as well. Its pretty and all but that spinny flippy do kills sometimes. :<
