Not really, but I was trying to make a point. I haven't seen any kind of post spamming, just because certain people make horrible posts or posts you don't agree with doesn't mean they're trying to up their post count. Sites like ZAM that use a star system, have no problems.
Well the point was that it "rewards" spamming , which is the case(if you consider ribbons like a reward lol), but you're right, it does not mean that spamming would necessarily increase due to ribbons. Not really, but I was trying to make a point. Anyway if they are to tweak some features on the forums I would prefer a real 'ignore" function, not one that takes more space than the actual post when said poster writes in a thread. Just make it that it's like the people on my ignore list don't even exist, so I don't see any of their posts, threads, posts replying to them.
ZAM has a rating system which is more important than the post system, so they contrast one another. If you're gonna spam aimlessly you'll most likely get rated down, most people will look at your title rather than your star level. This system here does reward spamming. Who cares anyway? Not really, but I was trying to make a point. Hmm...although at second glance, the medals are still the same from before...Nothing has changed.
I'm guessing that they still need to reset everyone's medals back to zero.
Actually your post, 57, has two golds and 4 silvers whereas post 58 has only one gold and 4 silvers. So I guess it's somewhat working? lol
EDIT: Never mind, now they both have two golds and four silvers.
