Ifrit Weapon

Did this 10 times last night with a guildie trying to get him lance.
5x canes (we each got one on greed even)
2x grimoire
1x scholar book (no scholars in that group, I won for my scholar, yay)
1x monk fists (first I've seen in 50+ runs)
1x blade (second I've seen after mine, 50+ runs)

I haven't tracked every down I made, but since I have been tracking, I was a little surprised to see so few grimoires, but only a little. Normally the grimoire and cane drop excessively. It's frustrating and a little mind boggling that the drop rates for the various weapons are not even.

On the flip side, took another FC mate to teach him the fight, got ifrit bow first shot. He took the lancer I ran through ifrit so many times to garuda, got garuda lance first shot. Sometimes the RNG hooks you up.

Pretty frustrating when it doesn't, though, and lady luck is more fickle for certain classes than others.

Ive been really lucky, got the ifrit cudgel AND garuda weapon on the first try!

Took me 23 Ifrit kills to get my Ifrit axe (15th run dropped one, but it was a double WAR Ifrit kill; it pissed me off because I had to carry the living hell out of that WAR) and 17 Garuda kills for the same. My 25th Ifrit kill dropped an axe that got greeded away to someone that didn't It took me something like 50 Titan kills (I wasn't counting because I got Bravura after the very first one) to see the Titan axe drop (I took it because it looks kewl and there's just some stuff I like to collect :3). I've still only seen 1 Titan axe drop ever and 2 DRG spears (I've got one of them because I didn't have an i70 for DRG yet).

There really are some weapons that seem to drop an inordinate number of times on certain primals: I saw *so many* Ifrit Harpoons while I was farming him, Garuda fists are, for some reason, insanely common, and I see so many WHM and BLM titan weapons it's become kind of crazy. There's also some that are insanely rare: I don't think I saw a single Ifrit book in over 40 runs, I think I saw maybe 1 Garuda spear and only 2 axes in over 50, and I've seen the WAR axe drop a *single* time and the DRG spear drop 3 times in over 100 runs. It really has gotten to the point where I just *expect* certain weapons to drop and am dumbstruck when one of the rare ones does.

My one and only Ifrit run resulted in a shiny new weapon with the additional bonus of lots and lots of cursing from FC mates

Did Ifrit 30 times as a White Mage and have yet to see a cane drop... until I do Ifrit for the FIRST time on my warrior and win, guess what - Ifrit's cane drops. Really frustrating.
Ifrit's Axe dropped on my second win as a warrior though.

Did Garuda 20 times as a WHM, have never seen a wand drop. However, Garuda's Scream (WAR) dropped on my first try as a warrior though!

...oh RNG.

Ive been horribly unlucky with Ifrit.
It took me 110 runs to get an Ifrit sword.
I got the Ifrit sword after I gave up and got my Curtana.
Got the axe on run number 200.

Good stuff.

I was lucky I got my Ifrit weap on my 1st try and Garudas on my 2nd

Sorry for taking all your luck guys. On my third Ifrit the sword dropped and other PLD already had it, and I won the greed for the Axe on my first Ifrit. On my first Garuda (with DF PUG) that sword dropped and the other tank already had it. Of course I now get to tank both of these for all my FC mates who will likely have worse luck than I lol.
