Easy mode would be scholar as was mentioned. Just let the pet heal and cast when you feel like it.

Tank is too much of a pain if your looking for easy mode really the main pain is dealing with idiots in the group.
Need more tanks...
Tanking moderately well requires a lot of keyboard action, tanking well / doing real speed runs is pretty tough trying to watch Netflix...
You're not going to hold agro with pure flash spam on any decent DPS, and they are going to get annoyed when they constantly peel off of you. Scholar is probably what you want here, as your party members will hate you the least in that role.

Yeah I don't mind a queue as long as it's shorter than DPS. I considered tank when I posted this but I really can't see how a tank can go through a dungeon with only half of his attention now, which is pretty much my purpose. I do want to be lazy farming for tomes, because it's not exactly a daunting task as much as it is a tedious one.
As far as healers go, I did hear SCH was easier to just have pet do most of the heals, but I also hear it's more button-mashy than WHM. I also hear the fairy isn't too great at semi-solo healing AK/WP until you're in full DL?

ALTernative character
ALTernative job
The key word here is "alternative", abd the subject is interchangeable depending on context. Shouldn't be an issue.

I don't find it that bad, lustrate , Adloquium. Set Eos to.steady rouse and whispering dawn.sch is easier then whm, I sit in cleric stance most the dungeon tossing DoTs and stuff while fairy heals....only do stance dance on boss fights. Although for WP speed runs I prefer to be whm as tanks HP drops fast when has 8-10 things hitting them so sch more frantic for healing that.
