Attribute Points for Scholar/Summoner

If I want to be able to dual spec and switch on the fly for whatever is needed what should I do with attribute points since they are shared between the two? Should i Just split 50/50 INT/MND? Go all INT and just use gear for MND? Go all MND and use gear for INT?

Neither. Whichever option you choose gimps the other. My suggestion is to pick the one you prefer, then go WHM/BLM for the other. Or just get all of them.

Choose a main job (like the one you want to go to relic with) and put the stats where it belongs
I don't think a half-summoner half-scholar is a good idea
if you want SCH main then put all in Mind. And you can still be a SMR for solo.

I have a question. If you switch to THM you will have a separate set of points to that class, and you can toss it anywhere you want w/o interfering in the SCH points. Why is that not the same with SMN?

I leveled Arcanist and used both scholar and summoner. However, I preferred summoner over scholar, so my points went toward that.

My advice is just pick which kpb you would feel you'd use more, and apply points toward that job.

If you think you'll use both classes evenly, then do half and half (15 Int, 15 MND)

Because Scholar and Summoner are on the same class. Thaumaturge and Conjurer are separate classes.

As others suggested, play what you like right.

Scholar = 30 mind
Summoner = 30 int
Can't decide = 15 mind, 15 int

Or if you're particular about min/maxing, stock up on seals to have one of those attribute clears on hand, and respec through that as needed.

See thing is I like SCH healing better then WHM and I like SUM DPS better than BLM. So basically because I prefer these two jobs I'm SoL or I need to roll a new character. I thought that was the point of this game, not having to roll a new character? This will only become more of an issue once more jobs are introduced to the classes already in the game. Maybe I should focus my attention to getting it changed so that each job crystal can have its own attributes.

For casual players, probably not.

For hardcore end game raiders who min/max, yes.

yeah, if you're not obsessive min maxing the 15 points aren't that big of a deal. If you're going to be doing some more hardcore raiding, I recommend respecing depending on what you're playing that time.

So if I'm doing Coils would that 15pts make enough difference to cause a fail? Or is skill enough to overcome the fact that i didn't max?
