This will depend on the reward for a win. If the reward is not that good then people will not buy. For example, Darnus extreme from 1.0 would not have been worth the buy. So you will have to wait and see what the rewards are to know if there is going to be a market.

Which is amusing.. there was likely a good deal of buying going on.. ^^;

They're there for the challenge.. if you don't have an interest in the challenge, you're not obligated to do it (or so we say, as others have mentioned we'll need to see what the rewards are.. primal weapons on par with Allagan/relic+1 could be an interesting choice..)

CT and Housing will be interesting. But I'm more curious about Leviathan, Ramuh and Shiva. When are they coming? I only remember seeing artwork of Shiva, but it feels like she's been completely forgotten again.
But then I havent really been reading the dev blog a whole lot since release.

Ifrit Extreme in all of XIV 1.0-1.23 only had like 400 people defeat it.

Leviathan was confirmed for a 2.2 release (as long as there are no Tsunami in Feb/March when 2.2 comes out...). Along with 2.2 they will have an additon to the Coil (Turn 6+, maybe entrance to Great Labyrinth of Bahamut, 24-man RAID).

Shiva and Ramuh I think were mentioned for 2.3 along with Gold Saucer.
