RMT Imitating Legit Players with Names

I actually haven't seen much of the RMTers lately on Balmung. I even made a new character the other day and have only needed to blacklist one person so far. My main has nearly 50 names blacklisted. I get more whispers from aggressive FC recruiters than RMTers and I haven't seen spammers in a while.

A quick problem that could arise with the many postings would be a conflict between large FC's, "report X Name everyone"

If the ban was only a ban pending investigation, and it becomes evident that it was an inappropriate use of the system (person was blacklisted many times, but only by members of 1 FC and no one else, and there's no evidence the account was hijacked or guilty of inappropriate behavior), permaban everyone in the involved FCs, and include a warning in the blacklist procedure that such a penalty is in place in the event of abuse.

Sure, 1 person is inconvenienced with a temporary ban, but then everyone in the guilty party risks losing everything over something childish.

Aside from the fact that it's exactly the same thing, yeah. Both cases involve dealing with illegal money, both cases are met with the absolute maximum punishment.

I know you seem to think that people who buy gil are a "plague" that need to be wiped off the face of the planet, but you're wrong, sorry. Is it bad? Yes. Should 1st time offenders be met with the harshest punishment available? Ummm no. I can only hope that you use a swear word sometime (against the TOS) and get perma banned for it.

This is the worst case of RMT's I have ever seen and it's in a P2P of all things.

It may be P2P, but the first month is free. Though the $60 game charge is confusing to me because I'm not sure how far they could milk that in terms of mass creation of accounts/characters. In my opinion, getting rid of that free period would likely cause a very sizable drop in RMT spammer numbers, since they'd just be losing money by paying $13 per account to get in only to have it banned soon after and be forced to do it all over again (and get banned, again). This is, of course, assuming SE is on the ball on banning these accounts and not just sweeping the problem under the rug.

it will be great when they start selling Titan runs etc lol.....i have a feeling not only will they NOT beat Titan but probably wont even queue for some people that give the money before hand, or even half before half after... they will still make out with something . If there is money to be made trust me they will evolve!!!

Last night i found a new type of bots..in other games i guess you can call them multi boxer...with SEVEN different characters, controlled by 1 person (maybe 8, i have a blind spot for lalafells).
They were aoe icing in south shroud in the ruins with the 35+ mobs..later i found them moving to north shroud.
Luckylie, after i asked for assistance, some people came and helped killing them by locking them.
But SE need to do something very fast.
