A bot i've kept track of after reporting it.

So, the other week, well, beginning of last week, i reported a bot, like i usually do, when i see one..

Well, basically, this is an underground moving bot, utilising teleportation software and this is the character profile link:

(Yes, i will name and shame, when it comes to bots, not like they will read it anyway)

So, what the fun thing about this is, is that when i reported the bot, early last week, think it was monday or tuesday, the bot was about level 15.

And going by the area i sighted it then, and actually last night, i'd assume it goes only and solely for shards.

Now, the fun thing here is that once outleveled shards etc give about 24xp per item up to a total of 26 i think bonuses included.

Yesterday, the bot was at level 49...

Now let's see, a quick calculation of things.. gives:

Total experience to lv 49 roughly 7.750.00 xp

Subtract the initial level experience, roughly 150k ending up on about 7.600.000 xp

So, by dividing down a little here, we take 7.300.000 xp, (to account for some small bonuses etc) and divide it by 24, xp per whack

We come by a neat number of somewhere above 300.000 shards collected, in less than a week.

That is.. well.. ALOT in my eyes, and i'd guess extremely lucruative for i'm guessing "GOLDCEO" or another site

But what bugs me, is how it has been able to be active basically 1-50..

kudos for exposing these cheats. wow an entire FC filled w bots... a shame they dont have it to where if your gear falls to zero you cant mine. could really mess up their auto-pilot all day mining extravaganza

Well, just look on the lodestone, for FC's called precisely the same, and you'll see alot more
Should be atleast one on each server i'd say, as it really doesn't look like SE is going after the properly organized groups..

So I searched for free companies named "asdas" on the lodestone, 7 came up, all created on the same day too on 7 different servers. Between bots and RMT ruining our startup economy, and all the network issues that still persist I really don't see myself playing into next year unless SE steps up their moderation and tech support game.

I agree, but where would Square have their priorities, satisfying the bot crowd and getting rid of those or satisfying the gamer add crowd and working 24/7 on new content. oh the humanity

Part of the approach SE do is to monitor the RMT trails. They are playing the long game. They want to wipe out the whole chain in one go, which is what they have done before on this game and previously on FFXI. Wipe out those bots today and those companies create new ones immediately. Watch where the gil goes and track all the accounts it flows through for one month and SE can wipe out the bots, the gil banks and those people that buy the gil as well. All in one go. Take out the gil buyers and the gil sellers will leave because with no customers its a waste of time. In the meantime we all have to put up with the annoyance of it.
