That being said, in 2.1 there will be ilvl restrictions (I think I heard about Crystal Tower needing you to have a relic weapon, too) so yeah, Crystal Tower will seem more suited to gear alt classes than your main, because if the patch only comes out in mid-december, I'll be in full Valor at this rate (I'm leveling other classes instead of doing Coil at the moment).
To me that is the appeal of CT, a practical way to gear alt-classes that I enjoy playing, but which getting myth/allagan gear for isn't overly practical at this point.
