Meh, I hope people keep bringing it up to remind us how far off from the playerbase the devs actually are. That comment was a slap in the face, as well as everything they said about warrior before announcing the buff in 2.1
I'd like to see the constructive criticism that would follow a small update. Say, 1 dungeon, some new crafting recipes and some class changes.
"Oh my gosh. This new dungeon you released took me 45 minutes to complete and I'm now out of content. You are incompetent, Square Enix. Your mother also enjoys it up the arse."
Also, after the horrifyingly badly balanced and buggy Living Story shenanigans with Guild Wars 2, I sure as heck would prefer less frequent updates that's properly balanced and not buggy. I care not about content every two weeks when it's all a bunch of (buggy and ridiculously imbalanced) grinding for a new set of achievements. <_<
The issue we have here is, that Square doesn't provide a public test realm. Square does the debugging all themself, which you might have noticed, is not the greatest thing they're able to do.I'd like to see the constructive criticism that would follow a small update. I think Square should give us the chance to help them test the new content, in some way.

I wouldn't mind being able to test new content and squash bugs and such, but I'm still somewhat wary against very frequent updates since Guild Wars 2. Call it negative experiences.
And if ArenaNet are to be believed, they're super-amazing and cool and amazing and great and revolutionary and best game designers of the world etc.
Now that the sky is falling and the end is nigh can we stop making stupid threads? They'll release it when it's done. I've played since launch of 1.0 and I can tell you major patches have all been really smooth compared to other games.
I don't think the problem is with people wanting more, more than for 3 months in, there is a great lack of content left for players to do. Even if you've been super casual and only recently gotten to level 50, you're running the same 2 or 3 dungeons to grind gear, and will soon be starting on the 'whole' 4 end game raid bosses. Sure, you can level another job, or even a DoL/H, but this is solid grinding of a fraction of the content you've already experienced.
Now lets consider those players that 'went hard' and got a level 50 in 2 weeks and have done the limited endgame content for a couple of months. Hell, let's consider the 1.0 players that have had all the classes level 50 since release. Tell them to stop QQing about limited content, despite the fact that they are paying the same monthly fees as you.
Edit: For the sake of argument, obviously neither of these views are supported by everyone, but I hardly think it is 'unfair' for people to have been paying for 2-3 months and asking for more content, whatever situation they may be in. If people start losing interest in the game, is it their fault, SE's fault, or a combination of both?
I know plenty of people that only log in to raid and cap myth for the week. It is only a matter of time before they stop logging in at all.

If my posts seem short or incoherent, I am probably editing the rest in.
Guess you haven't looked into other mmos if you think any amount of testing will result in non bugged content. Look at WoW the game with some of the most in depth ptr testing where devs and thousands of players test everything for usually 2 entire months before it gets released. 2 months and thousands of people testing and content still has quite a few bugs and maintenance is required several times in the first week to fix anything major.
Now look at this game where there may be 100 or so people testing said content for a few months, some of the same people that let a major exploit get through and required several weeks to fix on the hardest boss in the game. Do you really think there will be nothing wrong when this releases just because a handful of people have been testing it for a while? I can guarantee even if they had another half a year of testing there would still be bugs, nothing can prepare them for any possible problems the patch will have when they bring it live and the more content they shove into a single patch the higher the chance that shit will hit the fan(and believe me it will when they have literally thrown everything and the kitchen sink into this patch).
