Some designs in FFXIV 1.2x are better than ARR

There are about 80% stuffs in ARR are better than 1.2x,
but the other 20% are not.

The problem of ARR is the game designs are too focused on "result",
not focus on the "progress".

In 1.2x:
1.To fight Good King Moggle,you have to dodge the tree mobs, collect keystones with fc mates.
In ARR, you can just click DF, then win (or wipe).

2.1.2x had better Relic quests.you feel you were really work on something.
In ARR, I can finish a relic quest in 1 or 2 days,makes them feel......cheap.


It's like playing a game with cheat code or trainers:fast fast fast, kill kill kill.
no need to think or working on something.

The progress need to be more fun in ARR.

While i really hate the daily QQ threads of other people, this thread here seems to point out a fact really.
I also think, that they could give us more content in future which really feels like working on it and a real accomplishement when we did it.
I am very sure they are working on great things just now and in future ^^ hopefully

Killing Chimera, Hydra and the beastmen are the only parts of the Relic quest that I felt like working for something I want.

With people selling Titan kills for 350k nowdays anyone can gather up that sum of money in a relatively short amount of time. Titan will not be a problem for anyone anymore.

Oh, and the groups that sell you the whole progress from Hydra to Titan is (last time I checked) about 950k. So yeah. That's Relics for you...

remember that 2.1 was made to people who didnt play 1.x so they can get on pair with everyone who played.

For me, the characters feel different. I remember miqote having their own set if clothes. Character animations seems so much natural.

it seems that ones self esteem drops if they have to buy relic (if they were not intending to in the first place or shameless)
titan is a teacher, not a lead lined wall. he is a difficult boss, but he is completely doable.

Seriously though there were some things that were done better in 1.23, but endgame was NOT one of them (minus the exploration maybe - I do sorta miss actually running through the world with a group.)

Overall the jobs were better handled I feel (WAR and BLM especially) in 1.23 the pacing of the story/writing was a bit better. I also miss actually being able to grind mobs, vs just spamming FATE all day.


Anyone who actually thinks Hamlet was a good idea however has no right to talk about what constitutes good game design.
