granted i am still not blackmage (only lvl 18 so far) but does using transpose and switch to ice (if using fire) not regen your mana quickly?
Seems silly to sacrifice hp when there is already an ability to gain mana back.
Just asking as once i am done main story with PLD i wish to go as a black mage

Your mana regens quickly, but later with Flare (uses all of your remaining mana), it's useful to get an immediate mp boost. Plus it can add another couple of spells to your fire rotation if used properly, increasing your damage output (since blizzard kind of sucks damage-wise).
