    They all offer gear for all classes. Pick whichever one you like best.

    The only permanent things that comes with picking a grand company for the very first time are a bit of storyline and the first set of chocobo barding that you get.

    Other than that, it doesn't matter. The gear is all pretty much meh quality anyways,

    For a first GC, i'd recommend choosing the one in your hometown as that is where you'll spend the most of your time anyway. It's just more convenient when you want to shop, deliver items, get a promotion or purchase things.
