Convert sucks HP to get MP. Why would I do that if I can get all the MP I need with Ethers and then cast Blizzard III?

Freeze I still have to understand what it does so special.

Apocatastasis shields a bit the others, one per time, from elements. And only for a short time I mean.. It is a Black Mage!

And I lose Protect as a cross-class action. Am I looking at them in the wrong way? I never use the 3 above.

This may be a little late to post but here I go anways:

Flare, Manawall, Manaward, Swiftcast, and Flare will become your best friends at level 50 in dungeons and HM Primals.

-For manawall you already know it stops 2 physical attacks 100%, which works on Garuda HM (iff they dont pull adds properly and they are in your face) and Titan HM (nullifies his punch 100% and can be a huge lifesaver)
-For Manaward if reduces the damage taken from the explosion in Ifrit HM, Garuda HM, and Titan HM. Its a huge difference I've noticed when I don't get it off in time.
-Swiftcast I havent had to use until I unlocked flare and brought it into my rotation which I'll post what I use last.
-Flare (finally a BLM spell worth waiting for) Getting gear that raises INT and DEX will surely change your look on Flare. yes it consumes all MP, but thats what convert is for.

The BLM class gets very repetitive so get ready for that in endgame because you can't really switch up the rotation.

Here's what I use, some may differ from others but this is how i roll

Thunder III>Fire III> Fire spam until 300MP> Blizzard III> Thunder III> Fire III> Fire III (if done right you can cast back to back Fire III and the first Fire III shouldn't cost anything with the MP regen delay)>Fire spam until 300MP>Flare>Convert>Swiftcast>Flare>Transpose>Blizzard III and then repeat. Thats basically what you have to look forward to at 50 as a BLM with out the ability to move and attack like the other classes. Hopefully we will see some more abilities for the BLM in the future!
