RMT and Botting Out of Control

Right now on Excalibur outside Bentbranch Medows are 15-20 bots running botany at the moment. All have been reported dozens of times all are named asdfasdfasdfa etc.

This is so out of hand I am done. I give up on this game. My only option is to run dungeons non stop which excludes me from doing anything I want to do in this game ... but wait there are bots in the dungeons now to. Tanking bots, healing bots, warp to chest bail on group bots.

The little to nothing being done by Square Enix has just a horrific effect on the game as the RMT's do.

Should I feel bad for never seeing a bot like... Ever? Also, how does someone botting botany have anything to do with you anyway? Just report them and move on.

It's not as if you can't gather from the locations because they disappear due to them gathering from there.

You do realize that PvP in games is generally just a broken excuse of a mechanic anyway, right...? Well, I've never played an MMO that had fair PvP in it anyway. The only thing we're going to find out when PvP comes out is what job(s) is OP and you'll see parties mostly with that setup going for quick and easy wins.

The bots doing gathering are a major pain and SE doesn't seem to do anything about them, even though they claim they do. The bots never change and will run for weeks even with multiple reports.

The real pita is the dungeon bots and with FATES being a horribly boring way to lvl the dungeon bots always screw up a run and waste your time

I see you never do really any of the crafting in this game. If you don't get why I mentioned crafting on a botting thread then, here, I shall award you another "wow". Try to figure that one out on your own.

Aaanyhow, to the topic at hand. I've noticed them running along the scripted paths on Excalibur last night as well. There's also been a number of them auto targeting lv 1-3 mobs just outside Gridania gates in Central Shroud for a while now, as well as the invisible botanist bots on the other side of Bentbranch (which cannot be selected and you can't see their names).

All we can really do is hope the reports get a quick review and these bots are dealt with in a timely manner :x

P.S. I'd stay away from purchasing suspiciously cheap shards from the market, for the time being.

I think you are a liar as I am on Balmung and almost all the zones have bots. Well unless you don't have any gathering jobs. There have been more than one shout on Balmung about certain botters who have been around for weeks.

It sucks for leveling a chocobo at 50 as there are about 6 spots in the world to do this efficently and all are overrun with bots soul binding gear and selling materia. Example there are like 12 water spirits @ level 50 in the entire world all in one spot and they get pulled and aoe'd down in seconds while a crafter sits there pumping out gear while they all covert it to materia III and IV over and over.

It sucks when you try to click on a node and there are 15 bots sitting on it I have to navigate around. Gathering is slow and tedious as it is adding anything extra to it exasperates the tedium.

It sucks for farming materials as all the monsters you need materials from are botted for RMT purposes.

It sucks when you run a dungeon and a bot warps to a chest and leaves group, it sucks to play with someone who starts off with "One sec settting up my healing bot"

It sucks when legitimate players are mistakenly punished for buying items off the Market Board that came from RMT players.

It sucks when all of these people have been reported and still exists and the problem is getting worse every day to the point where there was a large group of RMT botting and SE does nothing about it. They have all been reported by multiple people (more or less anyone who passed through Bentbranch Meadows). They were right outside town on the level 15 botany nodes and all named such as asdfaslhj asdfasdfhjk, they were not underground they were all running around on top of each other clear as day right outside town.

It has a fairly direct impact in that the logs I grind to try to sell are mauled down to 8 gil a piece because the bot that has been running the same route 24/7 for 4 weeks just obliterates any kind of demand while also undercutting by insane amounts to dump his stock. Switch spots you say? There's another bot there too. I didn't say which spot? Oh, they have one on all the spots.

I have this issue on Gilgamesh and it is even hard to get a name now. Sometimes I have to wait at a specific node to get a name just to report. Bots are ruining the market, and making botany a valueless grind.
